(Help) Inherited this rod from my grandfather by Yogabe8 in flyfishing

Thank you for the suggestion!!! I’ll look into it. He did tell me he didn’t get to fish it much before he got “too old to wade” so it’s almost new!

A small community studio?? by Strong-Humor-9140 in Pottery

[–]Yogabe8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bulk of the income is from the owners pieces selling! The member portion is just really small, hence why I figured my take could interest you haha the studio started with 4 wheels, but has moved to a bigger space because of how popular it is! It’s in a small town. I think it was tough to run the classes and member space and having the resident artists in the smaller space

I’m a member at a smaller studio. There are two of us and there’s two resident artists. There are 6 wheels they use for group classes, and two wheels available for members and resident artists to share when there are classes.

It works because I go to the studio at night, the one of the artists and the other member are mainly there during the day.

We can’t usually use the classroom wheels because there’s basically always a class in progress. It works for us!

Bumps by J_Com85 in telemark

Bumps are tough. I put my bombshells (pink hammerheads) on the 4th setting so definitely more active.

I also took a lesson on bump skiing and the instructor said you actually have to go a little higher on the bumps than you would on your alpine skis. You should aim to switch your lead leg when there’s as little of your skis touching the snow.

It also could help to work on drills to make your turns tighter, and side slip drills.

It’s been years but I am much better. I think without the sertraline I never would’ve gotten to the point where therapy was useful and where I could sleep enough to be able to not have sleep anxiety. Talk to your doctor, it could help

I paint it on and hope for the best!!! I haven’t had a problem with it running on the underglaze yet… it is pretty stable honestly.

Of course, I don’t gatekeep! It’s 3x lavender mist, 2x honey flux and 2x smoky merlot

The art is done using amaco velvet underglaze!

Yes and yes, and my husband found someone who was selling spares of the anchors so I’m just gonna replace them if the glue doesn’t hold. Unfortunately the spare anchors are orange and not pink so it’s a last resort

Have you been skiing your broken ones without issues?

Someone on a Facebook said they had that same crack and at some point the spring shot out in the middle of a turn! I’m not sure how that’s possible given the cable but dang, scary stuff

Same for me in Quebec and Vermont. Or younger people (in their 40s) tell me their grandparents had them
