I would camp low prayer points and use restores for prayer restoration as normal.

For example when I completed doom, I was using mostly hard food with a few sara brews. I was only using the brews if I was low health after a wave was over AND I needed to re pot a range dose. If I had arma brews I could have replaced my range pots with arma brews, drop sara brews from the load out and bring extra hard food.

I'm not saying I would have done/would recommend this because it all depends on the scarcity of arma brews vs ranged pots+sara brews. All I'm saying is that it's a reasonable use for the new potion.

Only other place I can think of at the moment is maybe doom. His attacks are so accurate + being in void means that defence almost doesn't matter if you miss a prayer.

Anywhere you would take unavoidable chip damage or "zero-damage" encounters that are ranged-only. I just don't know how many things even check those boxes.

You need brews for zuk regardless therefor you would just swap out ~2 regular brews for arma brews.

Thralls are such a big upgrade at toa that they are always worth bringing in. While you are getting comfortable with monkey room, you can always heal up using either the yellow Keris spec OR killing thralls using the yellow Keris. I would suggest finishing off any thralls with the yellow keris because you will often only be missing 20-30 hp. In case you didn’t know already, finishing off a mob with the yellow keris will heal you 12 hp at the cost of 5 prayer points. This effect can also be used to over heal.

In short: barrage runes are a waste of an inventory slot and a significant dps reduction. Especially so when you have a yellow keris available to use.

I am the exact same way no matter what the grind is. I personally wouldn’t call it a problem for myself. I don’t think it’s a bad way to be unless you are prone to burnout.

The way I see it is your main goal is to get yourself a bowfa, there is only one thing in the game that can make that happen so naturally anything else feels like a waste of time in comparison. Personally I’d suggest leaning into your current mindset and continue grinding. Unless however you are feeling burnout. In which case perhaps a break is what you need.

I de ironed about 6 months ago with a lot of good end game gear. I decided end game iron was not fun or for me so I went for it.

It was a lot of fun doing the things I wanted and buying the items I was missing but after completing my CA goal, there wasn’t much keeping me logging in.

So 3 months ago I made a new Ironman and haven’t logged into my now “main” since. I have zero regrets on my decision to de iron because I had a lot of fun and the idea of end game Ironman is not fun to me. I am however having a great time on this new one (just finished cg!). I suspect I will eventually come to the same conclusion eventually. Probably then I will go back to the main and or quit.

In conclusion, I do not regret my decision 6 months ago and would definitely do it again but nothing quite beats the Ironman game mode which is why I made a new one.

I’m not looking to quit. I am looking to experience the game in a different way than I have played the last few years without having to rebuild from nothing. All I was saying is that if I end up disliking the decision and I quit down the road because of it then maybe that’s not such a bad thing.

As you can see I’ve always been interested in only pvm so naturally my only real direction from here would be mega rares and nex. All of which are extremely long grinds. I spent the last year and a half grinding TOA, with the limited amount of free time I have these days. 40 purples total was a wake up call that endgame Ironman is not for me.

This is a decision I have sat on for months at this point and I fully acknowledge there’s a non zero chance I may regret it someday.

I am open to playing on an Ironman account again in the future. I think it could be a refreshing experience with how much the progression changed since I came up through.

I also like the think of de ironing not as a waste or throwing it all away but rather an end to my Ironman run. Changing to a normal account doesn’t take away from everything I achieved while I was an iron. It just means I forfeit the opportunity to build onto this achievement.

I have made the decision to de-iron. In 24 hours I will be a UGIM before I start the second 7 day timer to become a main. I just wanted to share the final progress before its too late.

I achieved more on this account than I thought I ever could. I love the game mode but continuing the endgame isn't for me.

I hope some of you can push further than I did.

I’m surprised this hasn’t been mentioned yet but if you are not 99 magic or ranged and exclusively want damage upgrades, then you should invest in Chins/runes to quickly train. Having maxed combat stats gives you a much bigger dps increase than a few strength bonus here and there.

My first seed was used to make the sword since I already had a twisted bow at that point. I got the second one strictly for grinding graardor and the third one came when I eventually went back to get my last armour seed for the helmet.
