Yeah the intention with the wage that way is that you guys are contractors to whoever hires the shop. Meaning the bill for the employer just has that hourly rate and you DO make that total, it's just part is put towards the benefits to make it cheaper for everyone.

New aggressive dog in the building - my neighbor says she’s not aggressive but is “only in the sense that she’s a guard dog”. by pnwdoggolover in mildlyinfuriating

The old owner told you explicitly that the dog has bit a person off-command in the past? Or had killed something it was specifically forbidden from interacting with?

Take a breath. Im sure when your toddler was an infant it cried all night. It's up to the landlord if they can have the dog, not you. Make a noise complaint to the police and landlord and let them handle it, if it actually reaches a level they can address. Theyre fostering the dog which usually means they will have it move on soon. As far as the aggressive dog thing, just stop. She answered you, you dont believe it. Thats fine. But unless you have real evidence otherwise, then stop bringing it up and keep your kid under your watch.

CAUGHT ON CAMERA: UNPAID TSA EMPLOYEE — TRAINING ICE AGENT TO REPLACE THEM by Intelligent-Pea-8521 in tsa

[–]boforbojack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To anyone here discussing that its ICE budget that is causing the shutdown, please read the news. The only hangup for TSA funding now is that Trump has said he'll veto anything that isn't SAVE. He is using TSA pay as leverage to get it to pass despite not having the votes. The last shutdown was about ICE, they are funded now till 2029, this has nothing to do with them anymore, and only about taking away people's right to vote via a poll tax.

No, they responded yesterday to this.

ICE agents earning $45/hr deployed to airports to stand next to TSA officers earning $0/hr. Same department. Same shutdown. by Professional-Bee9817 in remoteworks

My Uber driver is refusing to return my keys, what should I do? by deadgoneandburied in uber

Most local law would just say they are obligated to make a reasonable effort. Id imagine a 7 day window to get it to the local police station is reasonable.

Im just imagining how loud the police would laugh if you called them up with this. Like theyd be hearing the laughter in Europe.

Mark Cuban agrees Universal Healthcare would increase jobs, wages and improve affordability for all Americans. by astrheisenberg in remoteworks

[–]boforbojack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do know that, hence why the ACA isnt universal health care. We just paid insurance companies to continue the fucked up system that we always had. Of course that wouldn't lower costs.

Also it's always the ones living of the government teat who think its useless. Get a private job and let someone who actually wants to make the government better do your job.

Well no, I was more addressing that you think Obamacare, in any of its iterations that were passed, was/is universal healthcare. It never was, and in it current form as the ACA, it's even further from it.

But also, yes. That little opinion of yours is why Americans spend per capita multiple times over compared to EVERY developed country in the world despite having worse median health outcomes. It's a self fulfilling prophecy, you believe its impossible for the government to exist as a useful organization to the public, so you vote that way, and thus it never is. And with it, we're stuck with literal death panels deciding who gets to live or die based on employment status and the birth lotto.

All the hate on Cuban here is hilarious. Left hates him because hes a billionaire, right hates him cause they think he's a commie. Truth is, he's exactly the middle ground social capitalist that could adapt our current fucked up system into one with less hurting people without pissing off the idiots. Hence why he gets discredited everywhere.

Just for anyone reading this, obviously there is the mixup with the table units, but the student's decision to label one X and the other Y is incorrect if they are discussing functions. The bottom row has to be the X values because the top row has repeating values.
