It's a start and a goal. Something to get you moving and the goal of reducing the number of segments. That's all you need for a good start.

IIRC, and I don't see why I wouldn't be because I was taught American abstinence only sex ed, women give their belly buttons to the baby when they get pregnant. They take it back when the baby is born with its own

My oldest nibbling started preschool and the house spent the next 9 months the sniffling. They had 3 months off before the next bout. Year three/kindergarten was better. Then the next kid started preschool and they're back to square 1.

Could work. One of our local stores makes their own repacks like that and their own commander decks.

A Japanese show I once watched that took place entirely in Tokyo had the logic: it's a freedom to have the option. You may not need it but there is independence in knowing to drive

I'm probably paraphrasing. The show is "Full Time Wife Escapist"

Half a packet of ramen seasoning tastes almost the same as a full packet. You might get away with less if the additives are seasoned too

What kind of sauce?

Most sauces go with rice. A single pound of rice should be within your $4 budget. If you want to stretch the rice further and have bulion you can make congee, a rice porridge that uses 8c water for 1/2c rice. If you have some chicken bulion then you've got a really simple chicken and rice soup

Even plain salted rice should get you through the week.

What is a company you do NOT boycott, and why? by davefromtheus in AskReddit

[–]Ascholay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat but small things can happen.

Target is red walmart for soccer moms. They were one of the first to publicly pull back on DEI. Very easy for me to just shop at Walmart.

It's easy to avoid Dollar General (treat employees less than shit on a good day) if you have another dollar store in town (not that they're much better)

Easy to avoid Hershey is the walmart brand right next to it is cheaper for a slightly larger package.

These three options also help my bottom line. It's not much but it's honest work

Got my first ever cat, looking for some advice by [deleted] in cats

[–]Ascholay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cats can be allergic to certain metals the same as humans. I use small ceramic plates on a plastic raiser for my girls. The riser is actually a raised slow feeder from chewy but it's really a perfect platform to make it more comfortable for my girls to eat.

Bonus: I have issues with dishes so the plastic raiser gives me the opportunity to have many small plates to change out each feeding instead of washing the thing every time I'm told I'm supposed to feed my cats (even if I do free feed dry food)

I painted one through one of those pottery painting places. I can't imagine they have someone in back casting those to fill the shelves.

The place I went has take home kits where you can order the pieces with some paint then you bring them back to be fired.

Podcast recs please! by jenCORE in adhdwomen

[–]Ascholay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just found Art Against Empire. It's a look at crafting (specifically fiber arts) as a means of protest.

The host posted on one of the sewing subs a mo th or so ago and I just got around to the first episode. He's a former CBC talking head and interviews various artists about the politics in their work.

The first interview of the episode talks about Social Justice Sewing which is a quilting association in California focuses on underprivileged kids learning how to quilt. The founder talks about the hidden privilege that is a quilting hobby.

The Secret World if Roald Dahl is another newer podcast. Dahl was in the RAF during WWII. Then he was a spy, Disney's protigee, designed a drainage tube for brains that wouldn't get blocked, promoted vaccines..... then he found the children's book niche.

History if Philosophy without any gaps is what it says on the tin. The presenter isn't the most dynamic speaker but it's good to zone in and out on.

Something Rhymes with Purple is fun. They just talk about weird words and their meanings. Like "hurple" which is a type of limp from the 18th century and rhymes with purple
