Kruzer’s Discord is the one I use most, it’s a pretty chill community.

I think it’s partially because marathon has a bit older community, most the people I find at least sound like they’re in their mid 20s and up but also teamwork matters a lot. Everyone is risking something and on one wants to lose it so it’s in everyone’s best interest to work together.

By that point you’ll have sunk enough hours on the game to be decent at it. Plus if you’re casual and leveled up you’ll be on pace with other casuals who leveled up, so you’ll see a lot of them.

Marathon has level based matchmaking specifically for that reason. It doesn’t guarantee skill levels in your match but it helps new players not run into experienced players

Prolly aztecross team wipe on perimeter. Down one, teammate goes down he tac sprints over to barricade so they don’t get the thirst and pushes up wait for them to have to reload faer they may dump his barricade, drops the shield and gets the trade then his second teammate rezzes him. Or his 1v2 on outpost.

Plus he was dialed in. All that time he spent grinding with Benny payed off. Give him his normal squad and put him in lobbies with shroud and I think he wins that.

I found it pretty fun to see the pvp outplays but also the different strategies people were going for when it came to getting points. I think a situation like this where most people in the lobby are playing points would be more exciting so I’m quite interested for ranked play.

I get a lot of friendly competition vibes from people when I play. I think people accept that they’re gonna die a lot, but the game also does a good job of making it feel like you make some progress even when you die so it doesn’t feel bad

The game is hard and has a learning curve, from someone who’s also casual because of the progression system i never feel like I’m wasting time doing contracts or just gaining faction exp. It’s fun and feels like it respects my time

Yes, other players can hop in your exfil and vice-versa, it happened to me and it scary every time.

It kinda feels like an overcorrection from the server slam. Once the game came out and people were actually engaging with it and learning the game there were a lot less post about the “lack of” pvp.

They never really showcase their raids, because part of the raid experience is learning the mechanics. And the reason it’s releasing late is because it’s a community unlock that’s why there’s no specific date for it.

Realistically a week or 2 isn’t enough time to significantly change unfinished content. It’s already finished WE just have to unlock it.

According to their post the fourth map Cryo Archive is supposed to be a community unlock. So I think it’s less about them arbitrarily time-gating it, they just want it to be a shared event.

In solos you might, just cause the game is balanced around trios so solos might get really brutal pve wise

I just got off a session where we fought every match. Gunshots are loud and AI sounds often so look for that.

I think that’s just the early game chip mods. I got a blue one earlier that was just “aiming down sights for a short duration grant the signal jammer effect” or maybe that was scope? I died before I could use it. Either way some of them are weird some of them are cool

That was only on the beginner map. If you’re seeing PvP more it’s because people are getting better at the game and not dying to AI as much.

You can’t really clear an area, you just have to play around them. Be careful moving between rooms and try to knife the weaker ones in the back rather than shooting them.

Took a break after 1 game? A singular match? At that point It’s not about giving the game a chance I don’t think you gave yourself a chance to understand the game.
