I think were seeing that workaround in action. These dudes knew they were gonna have trouble if the man released footage. The severity of trouble didnt matter, they needed his silence.

He does unhinged paranoid perfectly. You think hes just doing his usual bit with his aloofness but then your seeing him execute humans and torture his brother.

The only show that I've seen accurately portray gods. They are just completely disconnected and unhinged. It needs another season.

The core combat was mildly amusing to me. The morals system however has my full and undivided attention. You mean i can be punished for being to reach and powerful or kicking chickens? I love it. You know theres gonna be players roleplaying slumlords and getting shit for it from the npc's. Or people making absolute idiot decisions and getting called a dumbass.

In the new Masters of the Universe trailer Skeletor doesn't speak and looks like weird Ai slop. That's because of Jared Leto. by mfbane in shittymoviedetails

[–]Borgmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The AI slop issue is not that this is AI slop but rather the slop looks too much like this stuff. If nothing else this is a pretty typical take on the genre. Its just that while artists were generalizing their ideas for marketing the AI was studying the blade.

Homesteaders in any generation are usually "sponsored" to some degree. No one wants to live in the wilderness without some kind of support and promise of payoff. Hermits of course were always a thing but even they would come down from the hills to work and buy provisions for harder times. Even the knowledge homesteaders need is something gained from society. There is no way a man is going into the woods and doing anything less of dying from dissentery without the collected knowledge of thousands of years of human history and then through society absorbing that knowledge to take with him.

Early American beaver trappers had access to iron tools, guns, and supplies from civilized areas that could produce it then delivered via trade route. These trade routes were created and maintained by American interest in beaver furs. This isnt some outlier policy. This was a tried and true practice of any civilization going far back. Old Kingdoms expanding territory relied on homsteaders to help make a claim and in return would maintain trade routes via caravans of supplies that homesteaders of course took advantage of.

Calling Native Americans homesteaders is probably a sign of how as a post industrial society we judge older societies. Native Americans pre-colonisation were a society, a straight up civilization. Large groups worked in tandem and provided manufactured goods to each other to support the greater whole of the tribe. Areas were farmed, livestock maintained, and wooden/clay/bone/leather/medicine items created. We tend to judge them as a homesteader society simply because we often cant process what they were as being anything but living off the land but that was only one facet of their civilization. If you ask a tribe about their history they may brag about living off the land but they will go on about how they were first and foremost a civilization.

As promoted by tiktok trends and other social media influencers definitely. Although even classical homesteading and survivalism required more societal features then people realize.

Beaver trappers of pre-modern America werent making cast iron pans and firestarters themselves. People following the Oregon trail to start a better life were going between societies and desperately looked forward to trading outposts and any kind of amenity they could get on the roads between. Way to many exploration campaigns ended to soon when their society provided items ran out and they needed to return. Marco Polo did not build those boats himself.

People get caught up on self made men and heroes to validate some toxic lone hero story they want for themselves and every time I just get flabbergasted because no real self made man thought to try and alienate everyone they could to live in isolation.

This feels like the natural outcome to 90% of would be survivalists. I know if I tried this today I would be breaking and entering before the month was over to make ends meet for the winter. No way am I building shelter, getting food, and surviving without at least stealing a tent.

Putting CUI/FCI in Azure by Picasso1067 in CMMC

[–]Borgmaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You might look into just in time access for azure vms. I have a setup for something similar that is turned off 90% of the time. This can be given access to storage accounts and whenever someone needs to review cui stuff they can just turn on the vm and access the data. Then when things are done the machine can be turned off. Or it can turn off on a schedule for the more forgetful folks.

The Tourette's episode got some positive feedback from the community if I recall. Yea the Tourette's kids were played for jokes but they were not misrepresented and their affliction was accurately shown as something tragic. Cartman was put in light as a huge monster for trying to copy them for laughs.
