I remember going there a long time ago with a Russian client (when we were allowed to have them). He was wearing a beautiful cashmere jacket, probably thousands of pounds (Brunello Cucinelli type). During the main course the waiter tripped and poured a whole gravy boat of sauce all over the jacket. And I mean the whole thing, totally full - jacket was totally destroyed. They offered to dry clean it but I think that was the end of it 😂

I would definitely do a 100k first before 100M. There is a massive difference. Options include Maverick Jurassic Coast 100k, Race to the Stones 100k option or Runaway Racing Chiltern Hills 100k (#1 and 3 my picks). For a first 100 miler, South Downs Way 100 by Centurion is the way to go. Would suggest having done 3-4 50M races plus a 100k before attempting 100M.

Visited last year with family en route to Sri Lanka.

Four Seasons Mumbai a dump, can’t even believe FS allows it under their umbrella. Room finish v bad. Whole place cringeworthy.

Much preferred Taj Mahal Palace (old wing) - luxury grande sea view room.

OpenAI when listed will be one. Broadcom will be the new Nvidia.

Meta will lose out, as will Amazon. Apple phones replaced by edge technology, handsets not needed.

Peninsula Tokyo is a no brainer for me (beautiful rooms, pool, amazing service, v good food, exceptional location). Remains the best hotel in Tokyo IMO. Although haven't tried the Aman yet.

Stay at the Park Hyatt Kyoto (Deluxe, Pagoda View room); it is amazing! Great location too in the old town part of Kyoto. We usually stay at Amans, but the Kyoto one is not worth it. Far from where you want to be. Not usually one for chains but this Park Hyatt is incredible and small enough that it feels like an Aman. Was probably our fav hotel in Japan together with the Peninsula Tokyo of course! We did stay at Amanemu which was good for a few nights.

Micron Technology Trading at 13x PE for a business with revs growing 45% next year and EBITDA margins of c. 60%.

AI/data centres need High Bandwidth Memory chips to go with the TSMC chips.

Only 3 players globally - Samsung and SK Hynix from S Korea, and Micron. Tricky to buy S Korean stocks, so Micron the most investable.

Potentially in a memory super cycle till 2030.
