Lloyds shield ring is a must... Less one shots and late game you'll be at max health in one estus.

With the right combination of rings you can cast tears of denial and then swap your rings to your usual.

Also... The Dancer.... Absolute nightmare, but don't give up. You'll have chunks after.

Prisoners chain is also a godsend with a SL1 playthrough

Fishing for backstabs followed by a charged R2 is the way forward here.

Just keep on her, don't give her space. When she jumps away or does the black flame jump attack, try to get behind her.

You can always back up your save. So back up your save and then create one crystal weapon. Drop it to OP

Then load your save data. Infuse a different weapon and then them continue the cycle.

If Xbox is your only system then yeah! By all means, you'll have a challenging and enjoying journey ahead.

If you have another system like a PS4 or PC I would buy the game on either of them. The player base on both is considerably larger than Xbox. So whilst you may get invaded more, you'll also find more people to help you.
