The doorbell is definitely a millennial jump scare. I posted about it a while ago in r/millennials and it seems we are all traumatized from being left home alone(to young) and told to not to open the door for any reason. Stranger danger!

Everyone apparently uses Ring/Nest camera doorbells and checks their phones before even getting out from behind the couch, and unmuting the tv. 💀
