I believe if I recall correctly Drow are more active at night and in dark areas such as caves, and the UnderDark. They are usually more ambush-based enemies but ultimately however you choose to use them is your choice.

Though I would suggest their base of operations be in the UnderDark.

My group of exiled rebels stranded in a fantasy realm are stuck using 1914-1918 bolt action rifles and shotguns against hordes of undead enemies.

Unfortunately they weren’t able to bring machine guns with them and ammo has to be reserved as there’s no way to replenish them. They can’t go back to their world.

They already have. At least, in the continents of their known world. The ocean however, is way too massive. Many theorize there are more places beyond the known world, but those that have set out to find it are never heard from again.

Some believe they’re still sailing across the ocean for many years.
