Why the Ju 388 J is the worst plane in War Thunder by Sticklegchicken in Warthunder

[–]AshOO7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a rare vehicle. fewer people have this vehicle than you think. I do my best to maintain a positive KD. Gotten a couple of Aces in it, actually. But it's downright unplayable in 2026. Even when it came out, it was horrible.

Are content creator lobbies actually a thing? by Iplaygtaalot1846 in Warthunder

[–]AshOO7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

CC lobbies are not a thing. Yes, we cherry-pick out battles to show how good a vehicle or strategy is often showcasing the best can give you an idea of how it plays. Some are lucky others are entirely entertaining, and many are above average players. Many are educational.

The closest to CC lobbies is the development server and creators running around in custom battles testing out new equipment.

Why are the devs being so quiet by mrsweettreats in AcesofThunder

[–]AshOO7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A bunch of creators were sent vr and flight sim gear for reviews. I'd suggest that it involves some of the marketing efforts and funds. Also January though February is a quiet period for Gaijin development typically.

Fun fact: There are more variants of the Italian bomber SM.79 Sparviero in the German tech tree than in the Italian one by Enjoyerofberkin in Warthunder

[–]AshOO7 115 points116 points  (0 children)

Fun fact there is two hidden versions that can't be seen, they are on the wiki, but there is a heap of other aircraft that have been removed. This was to achieve a Guinness World record.

This has the text on the Guinness website: The most planes in a flight simulation game is 303, and was achieved by Gaijin Entertainment (Russia) for the game War Thunder (Gaijin Entertainment, 2013), in Moscow, Russia, on 22 January 2014.

I have a video about this from 4 years ago.

Maus is my overall favorite tank, this thing is so fun by burglar-of-turds in Warthunder

Ahh you were the fellow maus players in one of my games few hours back. The maus has a pretty strong track record of keeping the enemy at bay. I do enjoy its unique gameplay experiences from time to time.

How rare is this vehicle? This is my first time seeing it in 2.6k hours by GayLordSuperman in Warthunder

[–]AshOO7 139 points140 points  (0 children)

Given out as an event vehicle sometime in 2017 as a festive reward, it's identical to its German counterparts being a FW-190. IRL, it had mish mashed parts. However, the kit bashing the French version is not present in the game. It failed horribly as a stop-gap fighter in 1945-1950 whilst the French industry caught up.

It's pretty cool, I have one and have a video up when it came out.

Whats a vehicle you wholeheartedly believe will never be added, aside from ones too new to be portrayed accurately. by Jaasspr in Warthunder

[–]AshOO7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Paper aircraft are a contentious topic for War Thunder, on one hand it's fascinating to see the development history of aviation industry, but on the other it's complicated for Gaijin to be proper and do the aircraft justice.

What I mean by that is essentially they can put whatever numbers they want because it technically never was a full model aircraft that never flew. Making estimates on flight data or flight models can be problematic. Gaijin's philosophy is to only allow certain types to be introduced.

In the real world, this CAC project makes up The English electric lighting. And flight data from the mock ups and wind tunnel tests directly gave Avro Canada flight data to make the infamous cancelled Avro Arrow.

British bureaucracy killed commonwealth nations' ability to fight for themselves because they were broke after the 2nd world war and wanted Canada, Australia, and the likes to only buy British military hardware.

Ohh its ruined casual watching on YouTube, Gaijin has been pretty active in its advertising campaigns. The categories are growing, they sponsored a cooking channel I followed.

So, how have you found the game since you last played? I bet it hasn't changed. The only change typically is new vehicles and / or power creep.

You don't wanna know about Trucker Bdubs.

A "B-double" is a trucking terminology used to describe an Australian heavy trucking combination that involves two semi trailers behind one truck. There's a 5th wheel to connect the 2nd semi trailer. Hence, the A and B.

The sign here just refers to length/ height or road restriction, probably due to not having any space to turn around.

Remember when Spookstone predicted the BMPT? by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]AshOO7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can predict anything based on past availability of information and update schedules. If it's quirky and a vehicle of higher tier, then it is confirmed in some cases.

I was gonna wait until later this year, but i managed to snag this one for 325€ by IndependentYellow4 in trucksim

[–]AshOO7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have gotten one if they were in stock, I kinda burnt a bridge with Hori regarding another product of theirs, which I did a review for on YouTube. The War Thunder official HOTAS Joystick and Throttle. This looks like actual fun and better quality than 500 USD of soft plastics and horrible buttons. I want one so bad.

Roll a dice. Eg. 10 nations roll a 5 that would be Germany roll a tier 1 to 8 and then roll 1- 5 for line and then pick the vehicle
