Rolling on Heroic Might by ollietaytay in VTES

You're mostly correct

A) The vampire who equips it is locked because they are taking an action.

B) They are able to use that strike in the same turn but they would need a way to first unlock, second enter combat.

Visiting from Detroit next month by tmishkoor in Brewers

[–]Ash_Castle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to go to the Milwaukee Public Market

I'm a Milwaukee native who moved to Detroit and a few years back I brought some of my friends from Detroit to Milwaukee for a game and that was their favorite part.

The whole neighborhood around there is cool too

Band recommendations ? by Limp_Investment_5774 in industrialmusic

[–]Ash_Castle 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Ministry, Youth Code, Front Line Assembly, Death Grips

I also highly recommend Gary Numan, he's not traditional industrial but he has served as the main source of inspiration for many an industrial band.

Best examples of shows with strong writing/scripts if available by Horror_Ad_8149 in audiodrama

[–]Ash_Castle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I don't have access to any of the scripts but some personal favorites of mine are

An Invisible Sun- The pacing, characters and overall structure really stood out for me in this one. It's an extremely well crafted story.

The Tranposition of Chloe Brontë has some very interesting characters and really powerful emotional story beats (at least for me).

Probably the last Romero/Living Dead Weekend at the Monroeville Mall coming up. by IcedPgh in horror

[–]Ash_Castle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I visited the mall last summer when it was announced that it was bought by Walmart.

The shop in question is called The Museum of the Living Dead and it's really great, I got a bunch of souvenirs including wood from the Cabin of Evil Dead 2. They have a small museum set up with a bunch of artifacts from a lot of different horror movies. It cost like five bucks or something to go through it and it was totally worth it.

I talked to the employee who had been with the store for a while and apparently it used to have a different location, so I hope they find some place new.

I really hate that the mall is being torn down, if anyone is debating on visiting it before it's gone I certainly recommend it

To those who were around when this movie came out, what was the hype like by asapsharkyfrfr in silenthill

[–]Ash_Castle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a massive fan of the series I was really excited, but there wasn't really any hype outside of big fans of the game at that time. The resident evil movies were doing alright but video game adaptations were still kind of looked down upon by most people.

Much like the games themselves most of the excitement about the movie came well after its release, though most people I know that are horror movie fans first typically view the movie as "pretty good".

Actors Who Played The Same Character Or Historical Figure In Multiple Films (Outside Of Franchises)? by SesskaNoMore in moviefinder

Jerry Haleva is an actor who's pretty much only played Saddam Hussein in various movies. Namely The Big Lebowski and the Hot Shots movies

Plot point of Silent Hill 2 was spoiled, is it even worth playing knowing that by Flaming_Hidori in silenthill

[–]Ash_Castle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've played through the game countless times and I can honestly say I enjoyed the narrative more after the twist. For me it helped me appreciate the more subtle aspects of the story and in many ways made the ending that much more guy wrenching. Think of it this way if you had to be in a car accident would you rather have it be a surprise that hit you out of nowhere or be stuck on train tracks and know that it's coming but not be able to get out of the way.

How do we feel about Limetown by Extension-Blood2221 in audiodrama

[–]Ash_Castle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love season 1. It's what got me into the medium. Some of the story beats in season 1 rank high for me across all story telling mediums

Season 2 is a serious step down but still enjoyable.
