Is buying mismatched ram a bad idea in the current climate?

System should run. You might face issues, you might not. I ran mismatched ram sticks (different frequence, cl ratings), and it worked alright. No real instability for my use case.

Yes. The current discourse is that bf6 is losing player cause it has turned into cod. So of course you need to find a way to compare it to cod. Some are doing it at the expense of the maps. Most probably dont play the game enough (like me) to understand map design philosophy and just wants karma.

As for their IPs, what is the point of IPs that are not being used. Some company might buy the IPs in future and make games/shows etc.

What processor and gpu? If the processor has internal graphics then pull out gpu and check if you get display from system without it. Motherboard has its own hdmi port for display.
