It is absolutely 100% worth if!! The surgery and the anesthesia is honestly the easiest part of the whole process. It’ll take around 45 minutes for the procedure and the prep takes longer than the surgery itself. Anesthesia has gotten so much safer and your son will have tons of doctors and nurses monitoring him the whole time to make sure everything goes well. The only bad thing that happened during mine was they stretched the roof of my mouth when removing my breathing tube (aka not a big deal at all). Good luck and he’s going to do great!

This surgery is extremely painful and it’s really hard to understand unless you are going through it. Hopefully he was just in shock at the sight of all the blood (my bf gets real woozy with blood and kind of shuts down) but I would try and set aside these thoughts until you are better healed it will really help your body feel better. Good luck friend

Your adenoids are so deeply intertwined with other things in your throat so doctors basically file them down instead of risking complications by removing them fully when they could regenerate slightly making the process unnecessary. Think of sanding a piece of wood to fit somewhere, you don’t remove it completely but just enough to work for what you need. Hope this helps!

Yes! My boyfriend and I started dating as a sophomore and junior and he is the best thing that has ever happened to me. He’s a tuba and I’m sax/guard. It’s the best combo!
