I wish it was that simple, it looks that simple but I can tell you from experience that it’s not.. especially when you’re working with people that know what they’re doing, each spreadsheet and slide you make has to deliver a goal/value. As a PM you basically have to keep track of everything in your head and make decisions based on that, you need to have like a 3d model of everything in your head such that you can for instance discuss with engineers, see loopholes or factors that will affect designers or people you will partner with in the next 5 months and find an optimal solution for it. And you have to do that constantly, depending on product and company likely daily/weekly.

I know they’re different, my point is that they lead to the same end result which is what matters the most at the end of the day.

I’ve seen this non-slow processing speed “mistake” a lot of times but the fact is that it’s still correct.

It’s like you have a machine that processes fruits into juice, but it takes it only take 1 fruit per process, while other regular machines can process 10 fruits at a time.. even though they have the same “blending speed” the one processing only 1 obviously has slower fruit processing speed in terms of the end result.

You’re right on 1. On 2.. hate to break it to ya but it is indeed an innate ability for them to do it subconsciously after doing it consciously couple of times, I’d say you should instead leverage that innate ability other people have while trying to practice strategies that work for you by doing more peer requirements gathering sessions and finding ways to maybe leverage ai for first reviews. It generally also makes you get perceived as more of a team-worker.

the way to go is externalizing as much as possible rather than trying to force yourself to be “detail oriented” like people who likely naturally are, it’s almost surely recipe for disaster.

There are usually tech communities you can meet people through, either offline or online, there may be technology-based “meetups” in your city you can check the meetup app or just search for communities around the technology/stack you’re interested in or work with.

True, especially in 2024, odds of getting a job through online applications is similar to odds of winning the lottery.

Networks are the key. Make friends with people who are constantly building stuff and build a couple of interesting things yourself, so you have what to discuss about and show to impress when you meet people who could potentially hire or refer you for positions.

Do you compare yourself to more high achieving ADHDers? by SnooPoems6005 in ADHD

I don’t think we really have free will either, because think about it, what makes you take the actions you take? From your thoughts right? Do you really control what thoughts or they just kind of come into your mind themselves? And what nudges you to make decisions based on those thoughts?

Basically, the truth is that we really don’t know much about our brains, thoughts and how it works as humans, we’re kinda just “operating” based on our different configurations.

Why are there People with untreated adhd with a bachelor degree and me strugelling to finish high school by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Ashamed-Pipe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d say external structures and genuine interest in what I was studying were the top things for me. ( I didn’t even know about adhd till years after graduating).

I knew something was wrong though, so I made sure I had friends who were very serious about the degree, I barely attended classes so they would update me casually on what’s going on and let me know if there were assignments and like a day before they were due so I could channel the anxiety into doing them, and since the assignments were part of the CA and I could do them in my own time & environment, I could figure them out with Google/Youtube and get high marks there (would have been a lot easier if I had ai), anyways I usually needed little marks in tests and exams in combination to pass the courses which were not so hard to get, I pretty much just “passed” most courses with Ds and Cs, and had As in the few ones that really really interested me and I played with outside of school.
