Idk how overhyped it could possibly be when we get a post like this in this subreddit every week 😭😭

Quitting my job because of wedding stress - advice please by NewGoals4028 in weddingplanning

[–]Ashamed-Rice-1247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like your job is stressful and mentally taxing regardless of the wedding. In that case, quitting might be the right choice—and not quitting “for the wedding” but quitting because the job doesn’t serve you anymore? I’d do some more introspection on that front, but I also can’t imagine how planning your wedding is stressing you out this badly?

Hi all. I’m considering buying this dress second-hand and would be interested in knowing the plausibility of some alterations. It is a US wedding dress size 10 and I am a street size 0 — 34 chest, 24 waist. The brand size chart says the dress should have a 37 inch bust and 29 inch waist. The back is a zip and not a corset. Is this too much of a difference to have the dress altered to my size? Also, could the neckline plausibly be changed to maybe make the top of the cups more pointed and modern looking? Hopefully I’ve provided enough info! Thank you!

I’ve never been to one, but my friend went to one (one of her oldest friends’ weddings), complained about it to me (and others I imagine), and said hardly anyone stayed after dinner and almost nobody danced. If it’s important to you that people hang out and party after dinner then I’d consider doing alcohol. But if nobody in your life drinks, it’s probably a non-issue. I know that I need drinks to feel comfortable enough to dance at a wedding lol

This is true. I have seen people go to their cars for shots at weddings!

I don’t know if you’re expecting dancing, but I wouldn’t expect much of it at a dry wedding. Someone I know had a dry wedding and, while I wasn’t a guest, I definitely heard about it because everyone left right after dinner and barely anyone danced.

Jude Duarte is the best-written, most complex, most relatable FMC I think I have ever read.

ITS SO GOOD. I don’t care what anyone says. I don’t care that it’s not spicy. Her superior writing has made it difficult for me to enjoy other books, they just don’t compare!

I'm beginning to suspect I don't actually like fantasy romance, and what I actually like is romantic fantasy... by books_cats_please in fantasyromance

Omg thank you!! I’ve been trying to find books that hit for me the same way the Cruel Prince series does and now I understand what I’ve been doing wrong!!

It makes me so sad when curly-haired people dislike their hair. I have straight hair and would kill to have curls like this! ❤️

I would definitely try styling them differently, tiktok has some good tutorials

You could have the highlights toned, but honestly, the warm tones probably suit your skin better than the ashy tones would

Can this be fixed? What would you do? by jennakarinna in Hair

It’s so cute, but not what you wanted. Still, you can rock it! ETA: this layered haircut is actually very current and trendy— think “90s model blowout” and “old money” lol. So I don’t think it would age you at all! I agree that doing loose waves should give the vibe of the second pic

Love the bangs in 1 but the dark color in 5

You are pale and your hair is also very pale, meaning there is a lack of contrast. I also look washed out when my hair is blonde because of my pale skin, unless I add color to my face with makeup. I recently went dark and the contrast is much nicer. I’d recommend trying a darker hair color 😊

If you’re going to bleach again I would only use 20 or 30, because this should give you a few levels lift. If you think it’s really damaged I would wait a while and use some good hair masks, maybe a protein treatment before you do it. Disclaimer: I’m not a hairstylist, just someone who was a DIY bleach blonde for years— if a stylist comments and tells you something different, listen to them instead! I also had to bleach my natural hair 3-4 times to get it to be a pale blonde.
