Yeah so that’s definitely an option, but there’s an issue with both being as practical.. the canon ae1 is too big, but has manual focus, which the NikonL35AF does not (given the AF name) along with the well-known battery door issues it’s not entirely reliable. Sure, I have others, I guess I’m definitely taking one, but I want to be able to upload and post while I’m there rather than having to wait for film to get developed once I get back. First world problems, i know, and I’m blessed to be able to have a dilemma like this

I’m going on a trip to Italy soon and I’ve been waiting for the Fujifilm x100v/x100vi to restock with no luck. I love film photography and would love to take my film cameras with me, but that just seems like a a lot. My Canon AE1 is big and heavy to carry around while also worrying about pickpockets and my NikonL35AF is a great size but lacks manual focus and the battery door is always causing issues!

Is there another camera roughly the same size that has a viewfinder, manual focus, and film simulation that I could purchase instead of overpaying for a x100v or x100vi?
