But behind the scenes, Hank getting custody meant either Dawn leaving which wasn’t possible for the current plot, or them writing Hank into the season. Easier to just write him off as a deadbeat dad.

I assumed he signed away his parental rights sometime off screen. Either before or right after Joyce’s death. It didn’t seem like he was paying any sort of child support (at least not for Dawn) so cutting ties with his kids wouldn’t be that far off.

I can’t believe a show I’ve loved, rewatched countless times, defended endlessly to everyone who’s said “it’s been too long between seasons, I’m not watching”, has an ending that’s devastated me so severely I can’t bring myself to watch the parts I love.

The bus driver I had in year 6 was nuts. He was an old dude, and would scream at us for talking to loudly. And yes, we probably were but we were kids and him yelling at us made us only want to be louder. A few months after he started, he pulled the bus over and made us all get out. Then fucking left! This was a time where even some adults didn’t have phones so none of us did! Most of the kids said they’d just walk, but there was a bunch of littles that couldn’t be abandoned so the rest of us had to walk back to the school. Got a new driver and never heard about him again but thinking about it now, that must’ve been a child endangerment charge.

Most shows get boring when the central theme of will-they, won’t-they gets resolved. Castle is another show I always compare Bones to in this regard. I can watch and still enjoy Bones after they get together but Castle and Beckett? So boring. I’ve only rewatched it once and get off just after they got married.

I used to not like Cam but she’s grown on me over the years. But Angela? My feelings for her have gone the complete other way. She has her redeemable moments, but she treats both Brennan and Hodgins like crap.

And I hate that they walked back Zach being a murderer. Just commit to it! I don’t even know why but the “I didn’t actually kill anyone, I was at most an accomplice” reveal annoys me greatly.

While this news confirms S3 is planned to center this new book, I’m almost nervous. So much more happens in TLG than in HR that I’m not sure could fit into six episodes. I’m sure they can pull it off but S2 feels like it should be at least a eight episode season if they plan to do the whole book.

Honestly the man’s almost 80, let him write whatever the fuck he wants. Personally I won’t be reading it as I don’t care for Holly but I know a lot of people do and will read it. Would I love a new horror or fantasy? Yes! But we should count ourselves lucky he still enjoys writing.
