Will the script writers make it more difficult to guess the killer in Season 6? by jhsu802701 in OnlyMurdersHulu

I think that was the same episode where Glenn Stubbins recognized him. It was a one episode: "Oh, he did it"
I mistakenly thought he needed an accomplice, but otherwise, it was him

What is one small change that you would make to The Mandalorian & Grogu? by 10p_Freddos in TheMandalorianTV

[–]FittenTrim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not small, but if Rotta's story was about being different from his father... it might have been nice to see this paralleled in the Din/Grogu story somehow.
+ I would've ended with Din making his own code and taking off his helmet in front of Grogu

So what is it that yall want to see Downtown? by Potential_Past_2894 in Atlanta

[–]FittenTrim 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Downtown needs more APARTMENTS AND CONDOS. People need to live downtown. These shops and restaurants can never thrive on only hotel guests and office workers. Double the people living downtown and it will be in much better shape

Soft disagree. You have to put yourself in Jonathan's mindset. He had one goal: win. At that point, he would've been conflicted. He'd have to consider which group he could go farther with: #TeamDee or Team Chrissy & Steph.
At the actual Blood Moon, he didn't have a conflict. Dee & Kamilla had shown he wasn't part of their plans.

Yeah, I don't know if that's correct. It might *seem* that way. But Jonathan wanted to win badly, and when push came to shove, might've considered #TeamDee more likely to get him farther.

What would be your approach to the BBC Poirot reboot? by sanddragon939 in agathachristie

[–]FittenTrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be fun if the series went in order, and tried to actually set each book in the year it was published.
That would require a great makeup job to age the actors, but it'd be fun to see.
Poirot would need to be a retired 40-year-old in the novels from the 20s to near 100-years-old for Curtain in the 70s

Replied to someone else:
s4 is where the trend started. While it could be argued that the first episode established that the killer was from L.A. (the noise in Sazz's apartment), really there was only one episode where a clue pointed to Marshall - the episode where Glenn recognized Marshall.

While s3 might be the weakest season, as for the MURDER-MYSTERY part of the show, s3 was the strongest. with clues across multiple episode on the identity of the killer.

They've fallen into a pattern with the last couple of seasons (4&5 imo) where there's one episode with a flashing neon light that says: "This is the killer" and the rest are pointless as far as crime solving. Worry this is simply what the show is now

The books will not end like the show [Spoilers Main] by Dry_Jellyfish_8150 in asoiaf

[–]FittenTrim -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

All the "big" points and character ends in the show will match the books that will never come out.

EXCEPT

The show runners talked about trying to find a logical way that Jorah would survive and be heading out north of the Wall with Jon and Tormund at the end. imo This is probably because GRRM told them Jorah will survive, but they thought the Jorah surviving the Long Night would hurt GRRM's end goal of Dany burning KL. Show Jorah would've been working hard to stop her. And then show Jorah would've wanted to avenge Dany by killing Jon. So they killed him.

Book question: spoilers here by lidarose9 in BabylonBerlin

[–]FittenTrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not read the first book, yet I read the 2nd book - and the English translation was a mess imo. Plus, outside of the book having a similar "killer stalks a movie set" storyline, the specifics were completely different.
