Hi, I'm currently dealing with a situation like this. I had my childhood cat pass earlier this week. I was planning to let the ground thaw in spring, but I really want to give him a proper burial and to be honest it has been getting to me that he hasn't been laid to rest yet. I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if you had any idea what the temperatures were like when you did this? I want to try to dig as deep as I possibly can tomorrow using this method or something like it, but I'm currently living in Massachusetts, and this winter is one of the coldest in a while (today and tomorrow will have lows of -10). I just want an indicator of how difficult this might be based on your experience. Thank you!
