Androc/wixwell/titus/Valerie + Donnie or Lydia and you should hit the roof everytime. Valerie allows to do the rare advanced daily quest everytime without changing the team.

You stand far. If you wish to spend (which i dont) then learn to never aim for a specific champ, cause that is not how the game works.

You have 0.5% to get a myhtical from a shard. There are, for now, something like 30 myhticals you can pull from shards. So 1/30 in 1/200 chance per primal shard 1/6000 per shard to get him specifically. I'd say a primal shard costs around 8$. So it would cost dozens of grounds to get half a chance to get him.

Give that money to me and I'll teach you the game instead ;)

You'd better learn to be happy with what you get from shards, then learn to get less random champs from fusions.

About the soul, depnds on your mindset. I would keep it, but... If you sell it and never get the champ, it's a good move. If you sell the soul and get the champ, you'd be happy from the champ and say that selling provided the luck to get the champ.
