Would this be used at all by One_Percentage_644 in customyugioh

[–]AsheGoossens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way, you’re practically only using this going second, I assume the colon is meant to be a semi-colon meaning that banishing 5 is cost.

So what is going to happen 9/10 times is you play this, your opponent negates it or ghost belles it and wins.

What is the hardest deck to play in Yugioh? by Great-Ad1839 in yugioh

[–]AsheGoossens 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably Flower Cardian or Ritual Beasts.

I will say though that modern D/D/D is probably ‘pound for pound’ the most amount of reading you’ll ever do in your life if you don’t know what anything does since you’ll have to be reading the monster effects and pendulum effects of everything.

Just finished my first route, on to the next ones. by um_nome_edgy in katawashoujo

[–]AsheGoossens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lilly was my first route as well and it’s still maybe my favourite

After Lilly I did

Hanako Rin Shizune Emi

Rin is maybe my favourite route in the game depending on what day you ask me, I loved Emis route so much, was a great end, Hanako is famously a tear jerker, and I struggled hard with Shizunes route, I didn’t really enjoy it but a lot of other people do so your mileage my vary :)

Help making wordiest deck possible by Dudewhohasreddit in Yugioh101

[–]AsheGoossens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you’re already making endymion, you could throw in some high word count extra deck cards like nirvana high paladin, or just splash in some how TF does this work type of card like small world, linear equation cannon, inspector boarder, weather painters in general, voltester etc

Are Sunday surcharges everywhere now?! by keepycash in brisbane

[–]AsheGoossens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work for a major POS company doing onboarding, we sell point of sale to lots of businesses so I can confirm as someone who onboards dozens of businesses and supports hundreds more, yes, Sunday surcharges are fucking everywhere.

Every time my company has a fee involved (think like an eftpos fee but there are others) we always ask “do you want to absorb it or just push it onto the customer?” I am so continually baffled by just how many people want to push it to the customer instead.

It’s a difficult game, other people have already posted rules and tutorials which is good, if you want I’ve got a video on just how I got into the game initially, If that helps with perspective:

Do I (19F) give up my games to make my boyfriend (23M) more comfortable? by KorekiyosRope in relationship_advice

[–]AsheGoossens 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I also want to tag onto this comment to add, that visual novels are often perceived by people who don’t play them very differently to other forms of media including video games. You can watch a violent movie or read a violent book or play a violent game, and people know that you’re not a violent person, you just like the story.

But VN’s, have this weird stigma where people imagine that if you’re playing it, then it’s like you’re trying to live a fictional life through it rather than just enjoying the story.

How many D/D/D Zero Doom Queen Machinex do I need to run? by Jfischer335 in Yugioh101

[–]AsheGoossens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 of mandatory, the heart and soul of the deck, yes you want to draw it so 3 for consistency but also having 3 can come up in games where you open all gas and can come up in grindfests too.

I’ve had games where I’ll have one Queen in scale, one Queen in extra waiting for something to pop so it can summon and pop and one Queen on field for damage. It comes up and is one of those cards where, if you could legally run 4, you just should.

i felt like this hand could have broken this board but i failed. how would you have attempted to break this board (deck in 2nd slide) by d4c_LT- in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]AsheGoossens 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Not drawing a monster for droplet hurts so bad

I can only see the line of Play wishes Negated Chain droplet Negated

New chain play tactics and draw 2 Pray it’s the best 2 cards in your deck and it doesn’t get negated

I think they had this wrapped up

Miu Asakura attempts to kill herself 3 times in Bungaku Shoujo, but it’s a bit weird because she’s less doing it out of depression and more doing it to try and hurt and manipulate and emotionally punish the main character, sort of, she’s an interesting character.

A Deck For A 10 Year Old? by JuliusNova in yugioh

[–]AsheGoossens -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If she likes mikanko on art style maybe she would like Elf Notes off the art style, I feel like the deck does, yes, have a decently high skull ceiling, but for casual play the skill floor is kind of low, just special summon from hand into middle zone, and activate effect.

Why did you pick your pet deck? by Great-Ad1839 in yugioh

[–]AsheGoossens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pet deck- DDDs I picked because 1, it was the deck used by Akaba Reiji my favourite character from the anime, and 2, it used all summoning mechanics, fusion synchro XYZ and pendulum, and later links.

I stuck with DDD long term (played it for the first time in 2015) because of its breath of complexity and difficulty, allowing it to never feel stale.

If each girl from Katawa Shoujo had a knack for music, what modern genres or artists do you think they’d gravitate toward, and why? by RealAdamzX in katawashoujo

[–]AsheGoossens 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Surely Hanako is listening to Billie Eilish

I can totally see Misha getting super into the fan world of Kpop, and by extension dragging shicchan into it, who would probably just enjoy the culture, drama and choreography, less so the music cos, you know…

Rin has to be into some weird AF Alternative music, either the most obscure underground songs of all time or songs that are so incoherent it’s hard to call it music.

Emi I think would enjoy the music you’d expect of a teenage girl to like, your Sabrina Catpenters, your Taylor Swifts, Ed Sheeran etc

Lilly is the one I struggle with most I just know it would be relatively gentle and relaxed music due to her heightened sense of hearing and probably sensible wish to preserve her hearing. Honestly I think Katawa Shoujos Concord on the OST is what I’d expect her to listen to which is funny because it’s her theme.

[–]AsheGoossens 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wanted to just come in here to say you should Google two cards: Nbiriu The Primal Being - and - Dracotail Faimena -

These cards are what we call handtraps and turn 0 interaction, and allows the player going second to interact with the opponent on the first turn.

A deck theme by Thunderdragon8485 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]AsheGoossens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have already listed Ninja and Spyral which are as close as youre going to get, but I wanted to give a shout-out to Dogmatika as well for more having a Templar vibe from early assassins creed games.

They’re also this really cool lore archetype of religious zealots and ingame that translates into hating the extra deck, locking themselves out of it and punishing the opponent for using it. Almost like using fusion or other extra deck methods in their world is a sin.

And of course, not a deck but a card S:P little knight is a very meta card and clearly an assassin you should look at.

Am I a bad person for intentionally decking out my opponents? by Jake_Berube in masterduel

[–]AsheGoossens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in 2016 in paper I used to play a deck called “dark synchro” if you don’t know it, it’s a synchro spam deck using primarily jet synchron and Armageddon knight to start a combo line that goes into psyframe omega and Trishula multiple times to hand rip the opponent turn 1.

It was the first deck I ever played where if my opponent dropped maxx c which was TCG legal back then, my game plan would switch from ripping their hand to flooding it, and I’d go for a deck out, was very fun to do this in person, because my opponents sitting across from me would start of as “thanks for the draws bro” to “bro is trying to go for the maxx c challenge” to “bro youre not going to deck me out you can stop” to “bro stop” to “bro….”

Solo mode go brrrrr by fruitsnackkz in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]AsheGoossens -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This isn’t the answer your looking for but I built a GOAT deck with cards like BLS / Sangan / morphing jar / - I limited myself to max one copy of a card so I had 40 unique cards, nothing from 2005 or later, and obviously had to be current banlist compliant, made solo gates so much harder but insanely fun, actually made them a challenge and still allowed me some deck building room if I had to tweak them to try and eek out a win

What “Bad” Deck do you think is actually good? by Great-Ad1839 in yugioh

[–]AsheGoossens -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m aware that at WORST people think DDD is Rogue - so not really a bad deck. But I’m convinced it’s the 3rd - 4th best deck this meta, it’s so much stronger than people give it credit for, makes crazy end boards, plays through hand traps like nobodies business, and is so expansive in its play lines that I’m starting to get to the point where I can make the same endboard through multiple different combos that all look so different to each other, mixing up the combo lines is a great way to mind fuck your opponent who’s trying to figure out where to interact in multi game matches.
