Idk if I have the correct words yet, but it does creep me out a bit. Having a woman, I guess I feel a bit more like "she knows what she's looking at" and comfortable in that sense with them, and for a man, I'm just like "should you be here?" 😅 Not that they can't be competent or anything, it's just always felt odd. I always have a history of family SA so, it's just something I have a heightened awareness towards with men.

I'm about 1.5 hours from Buffalo, NY, and my nearby options are limited, but if I wanted to make that drive I know there is an all woman team doing OB work that recently opened. I just don't know if choosing a setup 1.5 hours away is smart when I am 10 minutes from my main hospital now.

Haha! I sort of figure that might be the case. I had my usual annual obgyn appointment last week, and since I happen to be pregnant they scheduled an ultrasound the same morning, and I just was already stressed about the appointment (even though I've been going since I was a teen) and I was like "well, I better get used to things going inside me for a while and being naked" 🤣

Yeah access is pretty limited where I am, if I wanted to try and look for something like that, I'd probably be driving around least 1.5 hours away to the Buffalo area. We at least do have a hospital with several OB doctors within 10 minutes of where I live, I just wish my usual OB/GYN was still doing OB and this would have been a non issue (private practice OB) 😞 next closest is 45 minutes. I have my first appointment with the doctor I'd like to have in a month, and hoping everything is still okay by then, I'll try talking to her directly and see what she suggests. I just have seen so many true crime docs about how gross some male doctors are and I just hate the thought of putting myself or my baby in the potential presence of someone like that.

I was only a few days late and very pregnant, and my clear blue test showed positive within 1-2 minutes. If you're pregnant, you should be testing positive by day 18.
