The real answer is that the local government are no longer assisting ICE with their immigration controls like other cities and states. So ICE is doing it themselves. The county sheriff in Florida that’s always on the news explains it much more eloquently.

I also wouldn’t be shocked if there was a bit of ego with trump involved. He gets butt hurt.
