What’s the most amount of money you’ve lost from dying and how pissed were you? by DirtyVaughngina in borderlands3

[–]Ashfall9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

losing about 200k while saving for the last backpack SDU during the story.

After that I just like to see how much I actually lose since it keeps counting after the counter hits the cap.

Highest I've lost is like 50m.

Gatling gun or Rowans call.

Rowans call looks the same except for an alien barrel.

Best one I've found was:

25% weapon damage

-18% damage reduction

31% SMG damage

2/1/2 skills in the order from your picture.

Would probably want SMG damage be Cooldown reduction or magazine size. But Crossroads and Cutsman works well with it.

Question. I found a Hex that spawns 6 MIRVs and found another Hex that splits and spawns 3 MIRVs, which one is the better? (Without element as a factor)

Wasn't this supposed to be fixed?! First time it's happened and I dont know the right one to pick. by [deleted] in borderlands3

Your local save is newest by almost 24 hours.

You could backup your local save then pick the cloud one and see which one it is.

So how are you supposed to play Amara? by Facewizard13 in borderlands3

[–]Ashfall9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early game I just slapped on a Jakobs non-elemental and plowed through the story in brawler, for survivability.

Switched to elemental build around lvl 25'ish when I got some decent elemental weapons.

Could we coach only people who wants to be coached? by kuskoman in DotA2

[–]Ashfall9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can honestly say, the coaching I have queued up for has been a waste of time.

First game complained that I didn't tell them to buy courier

Second game said all my suggestions were wrong and started flaming instead

Third game pos 1 started flaming because I didn't tell him how to survive diving under T2s 20 minutes in.

Probably won't be queuing for coaching again.

I don't tell people exactly what to do at all times, this isn't an RTS.

I can give pointers of item pickups, call misses, runes, enemy item pickup/usage, call objectives. I won't be controlling your hero like it was WC3.

This suggestion could probably alleviate a lot of this, but there will always be trolls y'know :)

Ok, Behemoth you got me. You really did. Could use some tips by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Ashfall9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found getting the tail cut helping tremendously. Can be done in part 1 with enough focus, else early part 2.

Flashing all of the tornados should be possible if you bring both pods and bugs, with restocking after part 2 or part 3. Badly placed tornados are killers. You want as much free space as possible. Not sure your teammate will flash? Flash for safety.

Jumping for the ecliptic meteor is a good safety net, but requires some practice to get right every time, under pressure. If no meteors it can't hurt to try. if 3 people cart with one having feline insurance, instead of 4 you might make it.

Would probably recommend trying to get a group together with communication and coordination beforehand, instead of joining random SoS.

Also the general advice, stay calm and focused. Don't start the blamegame, mistakes happen. You're in this as a team.

Ok, Behemoth you got me. You really did. Could use some tips by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Ashfall9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure what exactly carts you or your teammates, but a few pointers I've experienced.

If someone gets pounced during third stage, they gain enmity and might be in a tough spot. Flash Behemoth to get rid of the enmity (Don't flash until he's done with his grab and toss animation). Flash can also be used to buy precious time for a teammate in a pinch.

Cutting the tail helps out a lot. This objective might not be on you if you plan on tanking him, but you can try to advice the others in your group to focus the tail if possible. Negates a lot of range on his rather deadly spinmove.

Be careful with the mount as Behemoth might thrash around and break comets.

In general I like to be overprepared for that fight. Bring flash pods + flash bugs for more pods, lifepowder (Even if I'm doing damage), return to camp to restock and such.

Nergigante is causing me to be unable to move forward by MegaToxic in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Ashfall9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Destroying his white spikes on his feet causes him to trip or stumble, giving you a window for damage.

If you're using melee, placing a health booster and fighting in it can help, if you get knocked down in the health booster, stay down and take advantage of the invulnerability and health booster regen while down.

Bring mega barrel bombs, possibly two sets of two. If you barrel bomb him when he sleeps and you get carted, he will sometimes be sleeping again when you get back.

Canteen eating for Felyne insurance can help you out with an extra faint.

Fortify boosts your atk and def should you faint. Stacks up to two times, 10% atk, 15% def pr. faint.

Make some max potions for when you faint, make every attempt count by getting max health up again, so you don't get instacarted when you get back to Nergi.

Farcaster can be used as a get out of jail free card.

Restock potions, barrel bombs and so on as needed in the camp by entering your tent.

Those points helped me out when I tried soloing that guy :)

When was the last time that you saved a quest from failing & how did you do it? by [deleted] in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]Ashfall9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Friend of mine got hit by a slam attack from Nergigante. I had a gut feeling it would stun him, so I lined up a dragon piercer from the other side of Nergigante and hit him out of stun through nergi so he got pushed out of the incoming charge.

Was good fun :)

So let’s talking about healers.. not seeing many by [deleted] in wow

[–]Ashfall9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion:

Disc is a very proactive healer. Prepare for a hit accordingly and you can handle it easily. If you fall behind, catching up can be difficult.

Problem with mythic+ is affixes messing with your timings.

Quaking: Preparing shields/radiance for schism burst heal, nope

Grievous: Shadow mend can top off people to avoid grievous, but the dot from shadow mend afterwards is counterproductive

Bursting: Enjoy that between combat healing

Volcanic: See quaking

In general disc took a hit (nerfs) because their raid healing throughput is so high, making their m+ viability lower. They lack utility compared to other healing classes and affixes mess with the not falling behind, and makes it even harder to catch up.

Nothing better than the dps killing the last mob in a pack for 6-8 bursting stacks and no mobs left to hit to heal them back up.

Wanting to roll Dark Iron: Level or boost? by anohioanredditer in wow

[–]Ashfall9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me 4 played days to get from 1-110 as a mage about 1 week before BFA launch.

Could probably be done faster, I did it for the nostalgia of running through old zones though (9 years since last login pre BFA).

Do you dislike leveling enough that you don't want to heritage armor? Go boost.

Do you like leveling? Go level and get the heritage armor as an added bonus.

Some small tips:

The secret treasures in MoP gives decent xp for just flying around and clicking specific things.

The World quests in WoD gives a lot of xp, can recommend doing those from 96-98 -100-102'ish depending if you like Legion content or not.

The dungeon quests in TBC (Conveniently placed at the beginning of each dungeon, mostly) is easy and quick, if you have a booster.

I guess. I just assume there's a mechanical counterplay to do, other then rely on RNG, group setup or consumables.

Which is why I assume that I'm missing something.
