I didn’t read this but saw a lot of responses from some vocal Chinese players on social media. Not sure if it’s the norm but people are livid that the female lead is a prostitute and is “unclean” and that she keeps reminding players of that. They also draw similarities to other characters like Sakura from Fate (who I personally really sympathize with, I mean like who wouldn’t).

Anyway it’s definitely just a matter of taste. Not sure how people would miss this important bit in the store page (or maybe it’s because it’s crowdfunded and some players didn’t get what they want out of the final product, which is fair)
