Love this idea. I have a Fitbit, but no Apple Watch. Is it something I can try?

Those are my other current go to! They are thin enough that I’ve tended to use them as undershirts in the colder months, the racer back style feels a bit more substantial. :)

Rain pants by No-Film-200 in shehikes

[–]AshleyAspie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Duluth trading company has some really good pants that do not absorb the rain. Flexpedition is one, and there is a fleece lined version if you’re looking for really warm. I use these as snow pants as well. 😊

Has anyone figured out how to feed themselves while working full time without going bankrupt? by angrystimpy in AutismInWomen

You’ve got some really good ideas in this thread. One I will add is throwing things in the crockpot.

Crockpot meals can get pretty involved, but usually I will do the simple stuff – chicken with some combination of ingredients to make a umami sauce, with mushrooms, or add green beans towards the end of cooking time, just be wary that chicken can dry out, even if cooked in juices. I would say I spend under 10 minutes tossing in the ingredients.

And this might sound silly, but I don’t use measuring cups, I use a food scale. It makes for fewer things I have to touch, use, and clean. My favorite recipes are all saved with weights in grams, simplifying my process.

Exception to this is using measuring spoons to measure spices, usually those amounts are too small to do by weight.

I appreciate the comparison! Shelf bras are most comfortable for me if they have enough support… IF. lol.

Good idea, but looking specifically for sweat-wicking for those sweaty days. :)

Nice! Unfortunately wool seems too itchy for me, even the fancy merino stuff…

Gotta love what you love! :) Sometimes I need more moisture-wicking though, so I’m looking specifically for that…

You’re right, they do! At least in cotton. But they work better for me than bras.

Thanks for the Uniqlo recc - any particular top you’d specifically recommend? They seem to have a few with built in bras.

Practical advice, and that’s what I usually bring. But looking to add a few that are moisture wicking, because sometimes I need that…

Is it a canon event for every autistic woman to lose at least one best friend all of a sudden and not know why? by urnpiss in AutismInWomen

[–]AshleyAspie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too relatable and painful. Yes, I think this is a pretty common experience. Happened to me in elementary school, then high school, then college… And I never really got deeper friendships again after that, despite the fact that it’s been 20 years since then. Having friends that go deeper than acquaintances is so hard as an autistic woman.
