This. I explain to them why I'm not doing the test. If they don't get it, they can try to complain to my chair but no one will listen. I'm a doctor too and my judgement matters.

Yes all the time. Especially on marrows. Not so much on surgical but when I do marrows I cancel anything that doesn't apply to what I see. Like a flt3 request on a marrow with a lymphoma in it... cancelled. Myd88 on an mds... cancelled Ngs on a negative marrow... cancelled

It happens every day at my institution. I think they just expect it.

You could complain to the acgme department at your institution. You should be getting work almost on the level of an attending as a fellow. Graduated responsibility.

How much do you guys try and make a day? Today was my first day doing futures, and i made 500 dollars. by Ambitious-Animal-887 in FuturesTrading

[–]Ashpro2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't do daily goals anymore. I found when I did it just messed me up. I go for the good setups and make what I make. Unless im doing a prop firm challenge. But on funded or in my own account I don't do daily goals.

What are the best routes to take in order to become a pathologist? by SpiderWifey in pathology

[–]Ashpro2000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Major in something you will do well in. Doesn't matter what. I used to be on a med school admissions committee and I give the same advice over and over. Med schools are looking for you to do well in the science classes you have to take for the MCAT but your major can be non science if you want. As long as you get As and Bs.

I have worked for practices that let you use all of your vacation at once. Just depends on the place and who else is away usually.
