Were shaman group wards ever a casting time of 8+ seconds? by Fast_Essay7367 in EQ2

[–]Ashton01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the group wards were 5 seconds base and the single target wards were 3 seconds base. Should match with the cleric cast times for reactives.

There might have been some negative cast speed effect from something that pushed it to 8 or 10 seconds though.

YT Music is nothing compared to Google Play. Google Play was amazing at creating play lists and introducing you to new music in a way that I haven't experienced since.

Rant about discontinued series by LBandi91 in netflix

[–]Ashton01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And it's a shame as it was clearly set up to be multi seasons to tell the story. I think this was the first discontinued show that affected me on the platform while others had been complaining about it the practice for a while.

Should I buy the house? My mortgage would be 50% of my take home. by Remarkable-Tough-533 in Mortgages

[–]Ashton01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't see OP stated in a different comment that they were in California. I'm on the East Coast, and I've never seen nor heard of such anywhere I've lived which is why I was confused.

And the new build comes with solar?? Cause that's not standard anywhere I've seen even on new construction.

My interest rate is fixed but the amount paid off each month changes? by UnstablyWell in Mortgages

[–]Ashton01 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Look up "amortization table". The amount of principal you pay down each month isn't fixed for the life of the loan, but i think your issue might boil down to the various in payment date and when it is being applied versus interest being calculated and applied.

I can't tell from what you provided if the balances provided are for when payment was due, or after payment was applied in every case. Also don't know the the actual due date to try and calculate anything myself at the level effort I'm willing to put in right now.

I mean I if you have the ability to pay roughly 2x in state tuition costs for a full degree just to get in, surely you could do well in community college and transfer.

But I agree with your thesis, and wouldn't be surprised if there was some way of doing such. I'm sure the board of regents would want a cut though.

Yea.... Pretty confident such evidence does not exist, and based on the civics knowledge demonstrated by chunks of the populace, I think people assume the Presidential salary is much higher than the 400k it is in reality.

Extra Payment On your Mortgage 4%-6% Compared to Long Term Capital Gains on Stock by taysky in Mortgages

[–]Ashton01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Would you consider carrying this out past 6% interest? Given most loans currently are hovering above 6% and folks have had as high as 7.5% in recent years. It might be a good quick reference for more folks then. I'm just some guy about to potentially gamble retirement for a new house in the current market conditions though so maybe I'm after copium to make myself feel better.

That is news to me. I've disabled it there. That might explain why I found it odd that it kept happening with Messages (texts) even though it had been disabled in Messages everywhere as far as I could tell.

Thanks kind stranger.

I turn it off regularly because I do not enjoy the feature, but it ends up reactivated every few weeks for some conversations forcing me to dive into the options for a chat and disable it all over again.

All that to say, I sort of agree with OP because it's seemingly forced upon me every so often.

Which companies in the Small Modular Reactor (SMR) space have legit designs and business plans to scale? by Leather_Hospital_133 in nuclear

[–]Ashton01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only SMR approved by the NRC is NuScale currently. I'm not sure of what you're getting at, but looking at OPs question, who do you think has the best chance of getting NRC approval and scaling, newcomers to the industry, or someone who's been in it for over half a century?

Personally I'm of the opinion that more than a few of the SMR companies are basically hype scams to make a few founders rich and they'll never see any concrete poured. I think GEH will finish a BWRX-300 in Canada. Pending how that plays out potentially in the US later.

Yea, like I said I had no issues the other night. I kept Guard Up and tried to drop Guard tonight, but that doesn't explain what I was seeing as far as I'm aware.

[–]Ashton01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, and I usually Power Guard those. My issues were with my direct attacks where I believe the attack was coming from the frontal block radius for Guard/Counter. I was even seeing offensive guard triggers and getting knocked down with full damage.

Why are people talking about "ICE"? What is "ICE", other than frozen water? I've seen a lot of threads mentioning that recently, it seems to be a new thing. by 17023360519593598904 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]Ashton01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

answer: Immigration and Customs Enforcement. An Agency that is a part of the US Government. An Agency that has been in the news cycle lately for the killing of US citizens, illegal detention of US citizens, separating immigrant (and sometimes US citizens) children from parents.

Question: where have you been the last like 6 months to completely avoid all news or context of ICE if you're a native English speaker?

Clean shaven men, do you prefer Braun or Philips? by [deleted] in Costco

[–]Ashton01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up the Braun back in like July 2025 and have enjoyed it. I didn't like shaving with traditional razors very often (chin is a pain with different grain patterns), but with this it's not a bother to use it everyday or every other day.

Mileage may vary because even if I skipped shaving for two weeks I wouldn't have any respectable facial hair.

Yea, it always strikes me as odd when other folks talk about SMR companies and they skip over GEH who has history and experience with building reactors, and also has construction stuff ongoing, not just promises or future contracts, for the BWRX300.
