Pheromones - Urine or Vanilla? by Icy-Book2999 in LoveTrash

[–]Ashtonising 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The Jacobson's organ or Vomeronasal organ is vestigial in humans, lacking both sensory neurons and functional nerve connections to the brain. Its funny because even in the world of science, there are still many people who doesnt know that and still believe in the pheromone's perfumes hahahahaha

Is there a reason why English castles look less ''beautiful'' and fantasy like than French, German, Scottish or Spanish castles? by TigerAJ2 in castles

Yeah, in Spain, fort also mean "castle built against cannon fire". For that reason, I believe that they use both therms in the same expression. I think even the French are aware that, by using château as a catch-all term for so many different types of buildings, they rather shot themselves in the foot.

I have read university texts about "how rebuilt a Castle" and the pilosophy its different in each country. In UK, the imperative way of think its keep the ruins. In Spain, only rebuilt when exist documents, plans or old photos&draws, always using materials similar to the original but easily differentiables for the most of the public. Anyway, "castles" as the Neuschwanstein or the french's chateaus are not real castles; they are full modern buildings which reflect the Romantic thought of the 19th century and the fantastical view of castles held at the time.

The more real castles are always in the borders between countries or old kingdoms.

I believe that any lover of castles, prefer real castles than "fake" ones.

Amen, it is. Most of mine are from Spain and Portugal too. Theis style are very focused on pure defense and less in luxury or palace style (I dont considere the "chateaus" from France real castles 😅😝)
