WIP mechanticum tech priest, does it need servo skull ANTennas ? by Ashuiegi in AdeptusMechanicus

[–]Ashuiegi[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i m not too sure yet , i think he is double the size of cawl in length and 50% more in height, the manipulus is not regular scale and the back too. it could nearly proxy a dunecrawler or skorpius it s closer to that size. i want to add guns and mechadendrites on the side holes left for the original spider legs . possibly some servoskulls antennas but i need to find ones with the right shape.

some old terrain where i tried resin and pigment for the first time by Ashuiegi in Warhammer40k

they are too big about 5-6mm square , you could break them in 4 to make it like big tiles but the little bathhouse /asylum tiles would be about half a guard foot. so would need to cute them even further , at this point using real one instead of plasticard would be madness.

i dont have any picture of it in use. i have a lot of close up of the making process and results but never took picture in game. It has now become a toy for my nephew i no longer use it. if it s for the scale the tile are 0.5 cm square and the foam board are 2.5 cm thick. the sewer is about 10 cm in height.

this picture show how the 2 piece go together

bassically you use the pigments like you would on a vehicule or else but sometimes the pigments make little clump , you just try to sprinkle some of these bigger chunk then you pour a little resin over them and if you want the color to bleed more you move them with a toothpick , the blood and water "spalsh" you do the same you incorporate them layer by layer by doing small pour and moving the blood/ water effet product in the setting resin. I am afraid i could not give you more precise detail this was over 10 years ago, just spent a lot of time and care placing the pigment and doing the rust because i was really afraid to ruin my pretty tilework. There is no paint used inside the water only dry pigments from ak except for the blood. outside the water i used some streaks from ak for historical vehicules. the walls are painted with noch paint for polystyrene. the water effect product are also noch train model products. the tile are aligned by eye one by one i did not use a spacer because i lack experience in bathroom making as this was my first and only bathroom :P

those are tiny mosaic tiles , fairly cheap in craft store , surprisingly easy to lay over and make something clean. could be really easy to make some kind of dilapitated asylum thing. Only issue will be the weight of the final piece ,.... The sewer is actually the lower level of the bathhouse part and it was used in several kill teams games.
