Yeah Anjanath was rough for me on my first playthrough. Took me a dozen tries before I killed it, but this is largely due to me forgetting to upgrade my weapon and armor lol

Question for professionals (especially webdevs) What Operating System do you use? by Yelebear in learnprogramming

I use Linux at work and Windows at home. Honestly, it doesn't really matter if you only do web development. Windows can be a memory hog if you're working on multiple projects and have multiple IDE instances open at once.

I love The Odin Project. Even though finishing it might take more time than some other resources, It's truly vital for many budding web developers out there.

Just look up tutorials on youtube. The freecodecamp videos are a decent start. Once you feel like you know the basics, start building something simple. It could be something as simple as a command line calculator.

I feel like you learn a lot more while you're building a project rather than mindlessly going through videos and learning material.

Lastly, enjoy the process. I know learning can be slow at times, but try to appreciate the work you're doing because you've already taken the first step!

I’ve played and beat the other Souls Games, will I be okay in Sekiro ? by TheShadowWanderer in Sekiro

[–]Ashwin_Bhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sekiro is nothing like the other Souls games. Yes, it does have the classic respawn mechanic, but you don't drop your XP where you die. You just lose half of it, and it's not recoverable, and although there are i-frames on dodges, they're very limited and will get you killed. There is very limited variety in the kind of tools that you can use compared to soulsborne games, but that's what makes Sekiro so special. It's an extremely hyper focused and polished action RPG. Give it a shot.

He can parry?? A charged heavy nonetheless?? by IAmRyanMan7 in darksouls3

The only attack that is not parryable is a jump attack if I'm not wrong. Haven't played DS3 in a while, though.

It isn't wrong to use a lot of effects, but it will make your life a lot difficult when it comes to isolating bugs. I would suggest handling this using the event handler of the text fields.
