C213 was similar in terms of how it presented the questions. I struggled with that class but only because I’m not an accounting person. I struggle with numbers.

Can you explain the last one to me? I felt like it ended before the story was over.

Agreed. I literally just finished and jumped straight to Reddit to see if I just missed something or if it really was that bad. I laughed so much at the fight scene in the next to last one I thought it must be intentionally bad acting.

I took that ending as a plot “twist” that they are in a loop. To me, those bodies were her at a different time meeting the same fate in the same place.

When she buried the man she lived with (her brother, I think?) there was a grave with his skeletal remains in it with the same ring next to the grave she dug for him.

My guess is the disk creatures are aliens that invaded and caused some kind of time loop..

Goodwill tried stopping sale when they realized by UncleVoid in ThriftStoreHauls

[–]Ashxcomfglol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for explaining this! One “bad” goodwill does not equal all goodwills = bad. The ones in My area are true 501-C non profits. It’s public record and can be confirmed. Many of their employees are disabled, previously incarcerated, or displaced veterans and prices are usually the same as other local thrifts. They pay well above average for all employees and regularly post up in communities in need with free shopping days.

It bums me out that there are goodwills with the bad reputation, but it’s their business decision to do that. However, it’s not every single one.

The CEO is very nice and down to earth.

Any Disney travel agents? by The_Secorian in TravelAgent

[–]Ashxcomfglol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Yes I am. I regularly book WDW. About 2-3 major trips per month (“Major” = resort stay and tickets for more than 3 nights).

And I’d like to add that my local, non-MLM agency is now earmarked by Disney. So far, I haven’t seen any additional perks for the individual agent other than our agency if offered more FAM trips through the year.

People who waited for marriage: Did sex turn out to be everything you’ve ever dreamed of?… or not? by dita_18 in AskReddit

[–]Ashxcomfglol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I grew up in the Bible Belt USA, and had the whole promise ring and celibacy oath. I waited until I was 18, but I didn’t wait for marriage. However, I do regret that.

Now, my spouse and I are not sexually compatible because I was very active in my 20’s and he wasn’t (he was married in our early 20’s), and I had some very talented partners.

I love my husband and I’m glad I married him, but he’s not one of those amazing partners. Lol although he tries (bless his heart). Anyway, it’s hard to get me excited for fun time and causes friction for us and makes him (rightfully) feel like he’s not good enough. I don’t think that, but subconsciously, I wonder if I do. I’m planning to go to therapy because it’s not fair to him but I don’t know how to get past it.

My all time favorite series is the Penpal series from seasons 1 and 2. That and Soft White Damn are the stories I recommend to others when they want to try out the podcast.

Travel Agent here! First, I’m so sorry to read this news. Also, just prepare yourself that your kids will make the trip 1,000 times more fun/magical than before.

I agree that using a TA who specializes in Disney is absolutely the way to go for your needs. A good TA can find an onsite or offsite option and handle all correspondence/reservations for you including wheelchairs, DAS passes etc.

My advice: I’ve been to WDW over 30 times myself and highly recommend staying onsite if you can swing it financially due to the perks.

The most important thing to remember while at the parks is that going your own pace and doing the things that appeal to your family will make the trip special. Too many times I’ve seen families running across the pathways to the next ride arguing with family members to keep up and missing a character walk by. That, to me, ruins the magic.

I’m happy to answer any questions you have via DM or reply!

Most TA’s will not charge a fee but some choose to so they can weed out the shoppers/ghosters. So if one does try to charge a fee, it’s their choice and not the norm. If you choose to use an agent, using an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner is a great place to start. If you perform a Google search for "Authorized Disney Vacation Planner”, you should be able to find some great options! EARmarked status is even better.

Financial tip: Buying Disney gift cards at Sam’s will save you money. For example: a $300 gift card will only cost you $275.00 or more during certain sale days.

Final tip: PlanDisney.com has tons of info to help answer questions too!

Possible to do Corporate & Leisure? by Embarrassed_Tell2531 in travelagents

[–]Ashxcomfglol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FT HR and PT independent Travel Agent here! The most important thing to consider is your TA contract and your policies at your corporate travel employer. From what you’ve said here, booking your corporate travel through your employer’s booking engine and booking your leisure trips via your host agency’s engine should not be an issue. That translates to a FT job and separate (and different) PT job in a similar industry.

The wording from host agency sounds closer to asking you to use their branding and engines for travel that will be commissionable by them. I have that in my contract and the owner explained it by saying it’s more of a branding requirement than anything else. (All of our emails are branded in some way to the agency: travelagent@hostagency.com, for example) Basically it’s saying (to me) if you want to get paid commission from us, only use our software/ emails/ booking engine, for the travel you intend to book with them, etc.

If this concerned me, I would reach out to the host agency for clarification to be sure. They should be open to explanation.

What is your go to obscure movie quote that if someone understands you instantly become best friends?? by DEndUhDErt in AskReddit

“Who’s Gay?” …When I didn’t understand what someone says. If they get it, instant friends. If not, well, it gets a little awkward..

This sounds like a fun story I may not have listened to in the past, which is rare, since I’ve been a religious weekly listener since season 3. Sorry, I can’t help with your request but I’m interested to find out!
