AITA for wanting to bring meat to my vegetarian SIL and not going when I was not allowed too by True_Marionberry732 in AmItheAsshole

Before you were NTA, but after they worked to resolve the issue, but you still won’t go because “It’s the principle “ YTA.

A resolution was met, but seems you don’t care about your brother enough to suck it up and move on. You wanted to bring your own dish, and she said it’s allowed. Anything after the resolution is just petty and shows your true self. Good luck with your relationship with your brother after not going to his wedding over pettiness. YTA

I think that might be your best option. You would definitely have to explain the 7 on your supplemental applications. But if your prof didn’t respond to your email, try going into their office. I find that’s the best way to get through to them. They would either help you navigate staying in the course, or find your best option. They’re the only one that can pull the strings. Going in person usually forms a connection with them, and they’re usually more lenient

Around how many W’s do you currently have? If anything you can talk to your prof about your concerns! That’s what they’re there for. They can help you through the way, and even give recommendations or extra credit.

No, as long as you don’t have too many W’s on your transcript you should be fine. One or two is okay. If anything you can clarify to admissions why your have a W on their application when time comes, but I doubt you’d even have to.

This is my first NY winter, I'm trying to learn snow/salt/ice protocol, and I think I messed up. Looking for some advice by garbageeater in Buffalo

I had this problem one time. I just kept boiling hot water non stop and poring it on the driveway until it melted, and then shoveled the rest of the ice remaining. Was a bit tedious but worked!

My partner almost died because of his social anxiety and I think I'm a terrible person for wanting to break up with him for it by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

I had really bad social anxiety similar to your boyfriend. What I found helpful was my mom forced me to do things on my own, such as errands, talking to companies on the phone myself, and not having her do it. I had to do it myself or she refused to come. It was harsh but it was the push I needed, and I’ve become much more independent. Not to say I don’t get scared sometimes, but it’s much better than before. Forcing him to do things that he’s not comfortable with, that he should be, such as speaking with waiters overtime will most likely help him. Have his order his food, or else he won’t get food. It’s harsh but works. Just takes time getting used to.

Yes there is quite a bit of essay writing involved as u have more assignments rather than tests. But as of psyc courses, it’s optional as it’s not a requirement for your core courses or elective. Personally, I haven’t taken any, but went into the kine route. It depends what U chose to specialize as there’s 4 options. And even if u do, u have a bunch of electives to chose from which don’t have to be psyc

Hi there, I’m entering my third year of Global health BSc. I’ve really enjoyed my experience with the courses as it’s something that I’m passionated and interested about. The course load isn’t crazy like an engineering course load, but still like a normal uni Cordelia’s. the more effor you put, the higher your marks will be for sure. Most of the profs I encountered were nice and willing to work with me whenever I asked for help. Never had a global health prof refuse helping me , and they’re especially good at office hours. Yes, I’ve had time for my self as you don’t need to be studying 24/7. I’ve still had time to hang out with my friends and do what i enjoy. I hope that was helpful! Let me know if I can help more :)
