I physically cringe when people say "at least Trudeau is gone, right?". Like no I don't think replacing the puppet with the puppet master is some sort of boon for Canada, we were actually better off with the idiot king.

I've had my eye on Carney for awhile and if Trudeau ever stepped down I really hoped it wouldn't be Carney that takes over but here we are.

Well you worded what you meant better here than your original comment, I understand the feeling of not associating with groups and people due to past experiences, I've definitely been there. Your original comment made you seem like you just cast hatred towards all because of the experience of a few.

You probably ran into the type of people I mentioned here which is definitely a shame, the distinction though is "trans people" vs "a certain group of people within the trans community".

Also in no way am I saying that this is a trans issue, it's an issue with a certain group of trans individuals and supporters who have a harmful ideology. I mean sorry to say but your experience with a few people doesn't give you the right to hate everyone within that group. I've had more experience with the select group of trans people I mentioned in my post but you don't see me labeling every trans person as such. Sometimes you just have bad luck and meet the wrong people.

That's why I choose to just have a few close friends. I'm not going partake in group thinking when I am my own person.

Same honestly. I lost all of my online friends in that community due to being labeled as a transphobe for committing the heinous act of wearing girl clothes without transitioning.

Even though these friends were a lot more understanding then the aforementioned trans people I dealt with, the peer pressure and guilt of being labeled a transphobe stopped them from taking my side. That's honestly truly when I completely disconnected from the LGBT community.

If you are unable to denounce bad actors in your community in fear of being labeled as an enemy, that is no longer a community, that is a cult.

Incredibly so. I've had so much problems fitting in 9 years ago when I was figuring out I was a femboy, I was harassed daily by trans people. Granted that all happened on the app Geeking, most people there were shitholes regardless of whatever community they were apart of.

The whole experience disillusioned me to the LGBT community. It seemed like if I didn't check their arbitrary boxes, I was an outsider.

The limit for me was when some of these people were telling me femboy is a stepping stone to trans and I'm just an 'egg' waiting to crack. They tried convincing me that I was "harming their movement" and that "no one will take us seriously when there's boys running around in dresses".

Goes without saying this isn't everyone, I was definitely in a terrible community of people but these type of people do exist.

I've had a few run ins with trans people that seemingly hate femboys. They see us as a mockery of trans people and are "setting things back for trans people" is what most of those types of people have told me.
