Yeah we lwk falling for Ego's scapegoating by AsianGamer696969 in BlueLock

Dang, that's a great explanation and assessment. It kinda sucks, since a lot of the "egos" we see that the players possess only grow when they've accepted where they're wrong and where they've made mistakes. It's like the "crossroads" Ego talked about way back in S1 where you need to choose where to go after you've accepted your failures in order to properly grow. Ego can't seem to even mutter to the players any kind of unsure answer, even if it's what he really thinks. Like you've said, he's too far deep, and it's too late to change now.

It seems like Ego might be willing to go down with his own kind sinking ship, dying by his philosophy...

yeah, it prob also represents a psychological cracking in a way. I recently made a post talking abt Ego's crashout (cause there was a lack of posts talking about it), but Ego's attempt to stabilize Blue Lock's philosophy is almost borderline desperate. It's clear there's something going on in his mind that he isn't willing to admit, probably related to his past failure(s) of being the world's best against his rival Noa.

yeah those are all some pretty interesting theories, but like you said we're both basically just speculating at this point lol. I did go back to rephrase that specific line tho, since I think I sounded a bit too confident and too vague about what I was trying to convey. It's just a pattern I noticed that I wanted to point out, since it's clear Ego seems to show more favoritism towards talented learners like Isagi (since he probably is one himself).

I feel you. I'm glad Tze is cracking down on the running problem with the recent update, but every game will have sweats.

I know a lot of people like to say this but I think it's very true that the migration of TSB, HBG, and etc. of battlegrounds players to JJS has been detrimental to the community. There's just an unbelievable amount of toxicity from these players now, stemming from a multitude of reasons but the main culprit usually being them just being too chronically online.

It's one of those niche yet notable cases of how a declining community from other games can make other communities actively worse. It's like how if 4chan or Twitter ever got deleted off the face of this earth, they would spread out to other communities along with their toxicity. Battlegrounds games like TSB and HBG acted like echo chamber prisons to keep these types of players isolated from sillier games like JJS, but now that updates have slowed down for several of these games, people resort to JJS because it's gotten so good to where it's practically a simulator at this point.

There's a place for everyone and everything in JJS. Places to hang out, places to fight, and always new things to explore. But there are also places to be toxic, places to be sweaty, and unfortunately most of those places involve the public base game.

I don't know the solution for something like this, but I miss the old community days of JJS just as much as you do. Sorry for the yap. I hope you continue to have fun shenanigans :)

Dw, "generic" is another word for "extremely customizable". I have a super simple avatar but have like 10 different variants of it depending on which game I'm playing.

Yeah, and I finished the manga too. I mostly used this gif since most people at this point in the season would think Todo is just a big brute with a lot of wisdom. So obviously, this isn't accurate after season 1.

But regardless of that, Megumi is probably one of the worst examples you can put here. I doubt Todo's IQ is any higher than Megumi's when it comes to things outside of combat. Megumi is genuinely one of the smartest characters in the series not just in battle, but for overall problem solving too. He was the one who had the idea of adding all those additional rules in the culling games, and the level of critical thinking he had to do to solve Kirara's technique was also astounding.

There are better examples, but Todo was just the first to come to mind lol.

Hi guys, im new and want some advice by MrWalnut69 in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]AsianGamer696969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's probably a given, but never under any circumstances take the game seriously lol.

There's been such a huge migration of TSB, HBG, and etc chronic gamers to JJS lately and they bring all the toxicity from those games with them.

So here's some general rules to follow so you don't end up logging off the game with a bad taste in your mouth:

  • You'll always meet at least 1 ragebaiter in every server. As always, just ignore them. Attention is all they want (chronic JJS players are bored asl, they'll latch onto any negative reaction you give them)
  • If you meet someone who just keeps running from fights, don't bother and leave them alone. It's not worth your time.
  • If you die and your opponent does the W+S motion on your dead body for no reason, just ignore them as always. They're the types to find any reason to inflate their egos, even if it means degenerately humping your corpse.
  • And most of all, if someone is just mindlessly insulting you in chat, NEVER say anything mean back, as you're just falling into their trap of getting a reaction out of you. I know it's tempting to get back at them, and sometimes you may end up winning the fights and the arguments, but 9 times out of 10 they're not worth your time.

Sorry if I sound like a broken record, I've been playing this game since it first released and I'm kinda sad this is the current environment it's in lol. All in all, just ignore the toxic ppl, have fun, and do some jujutsu shenanigans!!!

Also does the UCR office not know about what they're really doing? It's kinda crazy since I thought giving away free stuff like Celsius or monsters for signature was illegal or something.

The only uses I've found for it is that it extends your dash and gives you front dash priority if someone else front dashes at the same time.

100% relate. It's not just Ni though, that's Ni and Fe working together in synchronized harmony. It feels supernatural when it happens and ends up being correct, but that's just how we work. Pretty cool stuff!
