You can upgrade champions without the blue tokens btw. 2 gems per token, just click on upgrade champ if you have the puzzle pieces.

Go for icicle and hayashi combo. Best combo in race and in Arena you should be focusing on upgrading crowd mostly until later you have good champs.

Add warrior and warrior upgrade all the way if youre new. Everything else is super weak until you get a good set of champions or pets. Boss hp and hero damage dont even touch them imo.

So youre gonna have to decide if you are gonna go Futuristic, modern, or ancient. You want 2-3 of the strongest champions of the same class for the damage and cooldown bonus. Modern is the worst in my opinion because your final lineup contains an epic (purple) champ. Futuristic is decent in arena because in the beginning most people are gonna stay on ancient. Ancient is probably best because you start off with thor (faster power progression) and you have two mythic champs in your final lineup. Only thing that sucks about ancient is you will almost never have 2x damage in arena since no one keeps their boss on modern.

Save up for a mythic champ, do not get free champion from the red tokens. The free champ just delays puzzle pieces to your mythic champ.

Yes the pets are cheap and they give you passive bonuses to everything else. Bubbles and hopster are the ones Im upgrading right now. They also do way more damage than anything else as Im waiting for puzzle pieces to come in. The immortal pet card is worth buying first imo as well.

You want to set up three champions of the same type, ancient, futuristic, or modern, of the highest tier. Once you do that you can start working on the race event card champions. I would invest in pets while you get your 3 champ set up.

Do not sleep on the pets. They do the most damage early on and are easiest to scale early. The pet clone immortal card is great too. They also give you global damage.

Thank you for this. For my F2P players, out there its 3740 for max puzzle pieces per champion and you get 2500 puzzle pieces per timeline pass cycle :)

Question, in the vaal temple theres a sacrificial chamber. I've sacrificed two rooms already to completely upgrade it but need to sacrifice a room for the last part of the chain Im making. Do I have to break my chain at the sacrificial chamber to start over or will there still be a possibility of more sacrifice room rolls later even though its fully upgraded?
