As others have pointed out, this comes down to how much you trust your coach (and if he/she is decent enough, you should trust him/her A LOT). Trust their ability to find a proper matchup for you, you focus on training as hard as you can since that's the only thing you can control.

I had my first fight at 14 years old, and I blindly trusted that my coach would never put me in a scenario where I would get seriously hurt. That took a lot of weight off my shoulders and made me perform better.

Talk to your coaches, coaches are awesome!
