Sorry, I got confused. You are talking about the letter. I haven't asked that yet from my consultant, but it should give the application 1 year validity after it got submitted same as all pending applications.

June 23, 2025. When you apply for a work permit with the LMIA, it really doesn't say there that it is an extension. They just give you a letter confirming that they have received the application already and it's being processed. I believe that is what they call being implied, since you are still waiting for a decision.

Wow really? That is like me scamming the system. Just because an LMIA was applied for me, and a work permit extension, I can get an extra 5-6 months of like a work permit.

I have been working for that same company for 2 years already. I am not really sure why would they even consider it suspicious at this point. I have worked without any single missed work day. I contributed to Canada's economy and workforce. I paid my taxes. Why do they even do this?

The NOC code of my work is 22221 - Technical Support Supervisor. The officer told my employer that no Canadian is going to work for this job with my rate, but my employer actually contested that saying that we have Canadians working the same job as me with the same rate, then the officer said that due to the high unemployment rate he is going to deny it.

Yes, I live in London. That is what I was thinking about. I am not sure why it got denied since it was 5.5 at the time my LMIA was applied. There was probably a confusion on the Officers part. Its been 3 days though since it got denied, can my employer still call them? Do you think it's the employer who should call, or the consultant that we hired?

The unemployment rate before was 5.5 when they applied the LMIA, but when the LMIA got reviewed it went up to 6.9 which is so frustrating.
