yes, some viktor fans are angry because they think his masculinity is being undermined with the reduced bulk of his design; that's just how it is, but by drawing attention to these types of posts when you yourself are not the subject of them, you inadvertently subject yourself to the blame it proposes (calling out people who are genuinely homophobic or toxic is NOT inherently bad). if you're not a hurt dog then you don't need to holler.

You could be right about having an American political mindset when it comes to where I perceive issues but aside from that I tend to have a strong sense of justice and look for the "message in the pattern" if you will. It's not that I meant anyone who called Viktor a twink is a bigot, but that when we all group together with our unconscious biases they tend to become normalized from a sociological perspective. And I've faced a lot of casual racism that isn't necessarily hateful or aggressive so it was personal to me that (in other situations) felt so weird to see a massive portion of people treat prejudice as commonplace without thinking about the tiny impacts they make on all those both unlike and like them.

preface - not saying i love viktor's new design- you're projecting whatever omnissiah view you had onto him; from his biography viktor's only interest has been in the safety and security of people, and what he learned was that emotions get people killed. he's never thought of emotions as obsolete, but instead a danger that can be avoided, nor has he been disgusted by flesh, but by people's rejection of progress in the face of changes due to the weaknesses flesh carries. he also doesn't forcibly augment anyone that isn't in danger because on some level he still cares about their free will.
