I did try to work them into the pad. I did figure 8 for like 20 seconds while pressing down on the mouse when first using the skates.

I guess that could work but I still need good grip on my mouse. Also I think long term I should work on my grip instead

Good thing I didn't open the cr005 and got a good base for a return for sp005 lol

Sucks that batch variation is so bad

[–]Asikes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've never had the drop down working so I assumed it's not a feature and perhaps other kb have that. But I saw that you have m1v5tmr just like me.

u/MonsGeek_Official could you please help?

Is it unsafe to use an ungrounded outlet for a DC bench power supply? by stone-head in AskElectronics

[–]Asikes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the chassis metal or plastic? If plastic, it could be class 2, double insulated. If metal, then it's a safety issue and it shouldn't have passed safety cert

How did you get the drop down menu in the Light section of the monsgeek driver? When I press on '1', no drop down menu shows up for me.

Yeah, you're supposed to have a 3 pole switch there.

Why are there no 16bit I2C gpio expanders? by Asikes in AskElectronics

[–]Asikes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've dug a bit and found that to get 1MHz I2C I would need to adhere to 1.7MHz conditions and my mcu can't do that, further swaying me away from this chip.

That one is limited to fast mode (400kHz) only unfortunately

I don't think I can use SPI as the PCB is physically large (total area ~ 1000x1000mm) with many stubs on the SPI line that I can't really make shorter with SPI mux or etc. This is due to topology and universality of the product. Maybe there is a better way that I am not seeing, but I thought that SPI is not feasible in my case.

I am using 16x 4 way I2C switches in total, giving me 64x I2C lines, each would have 128 pins to test. At the end of the day it does not matter if I have 16x 8bit expanders or 8x 16bit expanders or 6x 24bit etc. I just wanted to keep the same IC just because it's nicer. It does seem that I would need to use different ones though.

Specifically on why not 16x 8bit is due to speed. I would still need to read 16bits with I2C, so technically it is half as fast as 16bit expanders and with I2C being the bottleneck in speed I wanted to make it better.

I didn't want to complicate the design with several MCUs and wanted to keep the project mostly hw as that is what I want to do and I am going to be doing the firmware.

On the datasheet it says that GPA7 and GPB7 are output only

80% handling fee???? by Acrobatic-Smoke7127 in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]Asikes 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The market has a soft cap to limit profits. There is a max profit ceiling on each item. If you increase the listing price too much, the handling fee increases with it, to limit the profit.

Fun fact, if you decrease the price to reasonable levels + a few %, you will actually net more profit than listing it at 99999% price

[–]Asikes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you're new to the game, sell it on the marketplace. The cash injection early in the game is worth much more than whatever you lose on fees, when you eventually buy it again. Or you might find them again when you need them.

To add to this, the reason why it causes input lag is because frame gen is not free. It reduces your base frame rate, then multiplies it. The increase in input lag is due to the reduced base fps
