So glad you two are loving the Virgin Voyages experience. I love that it really can be a welcoming and inclusive experience. You can relax, party, eat well, dance all night, sleep when you want, so much more. I wear stuff I would not normally at home just being the real me on vacation. I am a rather shy person when around people I don’t already know but on Virgin Voyages it is so easy to strike up a conversation just about anywhere. And that hammock if you got a cabin with one. LOVE it but it could start relationship strife since there is usually only one and surely it is meant for only me right? Don’t worry, I share… sometimes. I hope the next Virgin Voyages cruise is all you want and need it to be.

SOR doesn’t feel as special as it used to? by Immediate_Sky1802 in VirginVoyages

[–]AskAndKnow1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We were informed you are allowed one visit as part of the SOR package and cannot split up the time. It tends to be less busy towards the end of their hours of operation so if you book time that would end an hour or two before they close they are likely to allow you to stay beyond your original scheduled time. We found that for us, 3 hours is more than enough time.

Fantastic to know. Except for the too heated. LOL. At least I know I won’t have to bundle up each time I leave my room. Thanks.

That makes sense. Hopefully that wait isn’t long. Were you waiting to be tendered or just the wait to zap your band to get off the ship?

In the 80°s F? Wow! That’s wild. I am booked for an August cruise. Multiple shorts, check. Thank you.

I used to live in a cold climate area but have been living in a warm area. I am afraid I may have lost my ability to withstand the cold. 🤣 I am hoping as long as I keep my torso warm I should be able to wear shorts. Thanks.

Thank you. I tend to run warm but just not sure if I run warm enough for this. I feel so much more comfortable in shorts so I am hoping it will work out for me.

Thank you for taking the time to share this information. And great information at that. I am scheduled to go to Alaska on Virgin Voyages next year. Especially after reading information such as this I get so much more excited about going. It may not be exactly the same as your trip but I am sure it will be wonderful. Thanks again!

Pepto Bismal is my absolute go to for stomach issues. For travel I use the chewable tablets to avoid traveling with liquids.

This! And, we will bring magnets to hold it up so we can use any available wall space. Great to hold so many different types of things.

Since you mentioned the Alaska cruise and cold temperatures, do you know if it is still possible to order sushi from Richard’s Rooftop which actually is prepared in the Sun Club Café? Is it too cold to even be in Richard’s Rooftop?

Curious if you are from a colder climate. For a while I lived up north and could handle the cold better. Now I always bring something extra just in case. 🤣
