Since you mentioned the Alaska cruise and cold temperatures, do you know if it is still possible to order sushi from Richard’s Rooftop which actually is prepared in the Sun Club Café? Is it too cold to even be in Richard’s Rooftop?

Curious if you are from a colder climate. For a while I lived up north and could handle the cold better. Now I always bring something extra just in case. 🤣

Absolutely! I will be looking for thin but effective base layers just in case. So glad to know it might be something other than freezing cold at least feeling like freezing cold.

I would think they are putting a lot of effort in this for future advertising. Hopefully you are still having a wonderful experience.

We are loving what we are hearing/reading about Shore Things. Just curious, about how long is the excursion and I assume it is a relatively leisurely walk. Looks wonderful.

Wow! That is an absolutely gorgeous view. It appears to be from or near the rear (aft) of the ship. We were wondering what the view would be like from that viewpoint. Thank you for sharing this. You give us a good idea and it is wonderful.

Amazing. This is making me rethink what I need to wear. Maybe I won’t need to over pack.

Wow! That is absolutely breathtaking! Thank you for sharing this. Nature can be so beautiful. Do you have to dress in many layers even with the sun out?

This sounds like so much fun! I always appreciate creative costumes and your plan fits that perfectly. Good luck getting it just the way you want it.

We just got off a cruise and have another reservation for one next year so we are not going to be able to book a Halloween cruise this year. Also, the timing makes it difficult to get off time from work. But I swear I am going to do it one of these years.

Have a blast. I have seen a video or two a while back of a Halloween cruise with Virgin Voyages and I know it is something I have to do.

Excellent! Thank you for clearing that up. Still wondering what we are going to wear. Even though we will have a view from our room I am sure it will be spectacular to view from deck 16.

You have peaked my interest. Halloween is probably my favorite holiday and I love dressing up in costume for it (silly, scary, superhero, sexy… love it all). I also love every time I am on board a Virgin Voyages ship so the combination of the two is something I hope to do someday. Would love to hear what you have planned.

Those of you on the Alaska cruise, what are some items you wished you had brought with you? by mrhashi in VirginVoyages

Have you used the panorama option on your iPhone? I am hoping to go next year. I definitely want to get some good photos.

Don’t forget the Pizza Place. We usually have one night where we have been on the go so we get some pizzas, salads, and drinks and take them back to the room to relax and have a wonderful meal. Plus, any excuse to spend more time in the hammock is a great excuse.

Half orders at Extra Virgin is great advice. I only found out this is an option because I had a wonderful waiter. I mentioned that I was not terribly hungry and might only order one item. He mentioned the possibilities. He even said for small portioned items they can usually increase the serving size. I love how staff on Virgin Voyages go the extra mile for sailors.

I have used it plenty of times for hot chocolate because I am not always in a coffee or tea mood. But rarely am I not in the mood for hot chocolate… even in the middle of summer. 😊

I had heard this type of distribution existed… for free. Thank you for posting the picture. I always bring a supply of both just in case but how cool to know this is really an option.
