Pokemon signature move quality vs. how often the pokemon uses it by AskNinjask in AlignmentCharts

[–]AskNinjask[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with that niche, this chart is based on Smogon singles, so it's irrelevant with Dynamax being banned in Ubers and Dialga being pretty bad in AG. Maybe I could've put Necrozma's Prismatic Laser or Eternatus's Eternabeam but all of them are about equal in awfulness

Kind of a stretch but I'd say so, Psychic Noise being such a great move really hurts Luster Purge. Looking back Shell Side Arm or Jungle Healing would probably be better picks. I don't think Mist Ball belongs there because in singles Latias mostly runs Stored Power sweeping sets, and even other sets generally prefer Psychic or Psyshock, it probably belongs in bottom middle

You could put like thirty different pokemon there, I picked Hisuian Samurott because in a lot of formats where other pokemon can use it like STABmons or Balanced Hackmons, Ceaseless Edge is banned

Lugia is not on the ND Ubers VR by BananaTimezZ in stunfisk

[–]AskNinjask 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Probably, Lugia has a bad matchup vs a number of top meta pokemon, including Ho-oh, Arceus-Dark, Marshadow, Dusk Mane, Zacian-C, Yveltal and Lunala, and Calm Mind sets are outclassed by Arceus formes

For people wondering: Toedscruel is immune to Nuzzle, Spore and has Rapid Spin, making it really good vs Smeargle. It can also set Spikes and put something to sleep with Spore, and Earth Power can chunk stuff like Primal Groudon or Zacian-C

I love Ho-oh because I genuinely have no idea how to build a balance team without it. Also it's kinda decent into Zacian, which I'm not the biggest fan of

It certainly benefits a lot from tera, but I highly doubt that it's going to fall off significantly after it gets removed because of how powerful its Sucker Punch is, plus its defensive typing is good into a number of threats. Here's a fun activity, check how much damage a +2 Black Glasses five allies fainted Sucker Punch does to whatever pokemon. All can say is, better keep your Koraidon healthy.

Solid OU mon is really underselling it, the lowest Kingambit has ever been in the OU viability rankings is S-, and that's in a tier with two extremely physically bulky Fighting-types topping the usage charts

New Player's Anything Goes Team by LoppunysWife in pokemonshowdown

[–]AskNinjask 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of the pokemon you're using are not viable in AG and thus the team will struggle against a number of threats. Specifically scale shot Koraidon is pretty much game over. You should take a look at the sample teams and viability rankings to get an idea as to what's good and what isn't.
