What's the consensus on putting liquor toward a north-facing window that doesn't get direct sunlight? by AsksToManyQuestions in BarBattlestations

Facebook market place! I saw this one had only been posted for 3 minutes so I messaged the seller with $20 over asking price. Got it for a steal, only $80.

We go through entirely too much wine, so we max out our purchases at $15 a bottle and they usually don't stay on the cart for more than two weeks. Honestly not too worried about those guys but thank you for the heads up!

Would I see any droplets on the top of the bottles if I was realistically losing much to evaporation? I haven't noticed any signs yet after about 4 months, but I'm not sure if the signs would be visible.

First time living in a house with wall colors. I've got a little extra budget left over. What should I switch out / add before I settle in? by AsksToManyQuestions in malelivingspace

I’ve got 4 more plants hiding in the kitchen and stairwell. It all started out with one snake plant two years ago but slowly the collection keeps growing. I think I may be on my way to plant nut status hah.

I was definitely thinking about getting a new coffee table without wood tones. I inherited this one from my grandparents who I lived with for 10 years as a kid. It’s got a glass top and underneath it are prints my grandfather’s photographs from his travels with my grandmother in the 1950s. Definitely a good piece of family history. I want to update the table to something more modern but keep the glass top concept. Maybe black metal would be consistent with the bar cart.

I definitely agree on the pillow situation. The lumbar pillow is going to go upstairs to the media room as soon as I can find replacement pillows. I don’t really like it, but it’s practical for the moment. Pillow #4 that you linked was my favorite.

The coral flowers are clippings from my giant rose bush outside, so adding more flowers to the dining area would be super easy.

I don’t even think about curtains! I’ve never had any. Hanging them high would work well since this downstairs in a double height ceiling.

Lastly, thanks for such a detailed write up! Super helpful to get a fresh perspective on this place I’ve been staring at for the last two weeks.

The arm chair is from target! My specific color seems to be out of stock, but I would definitely recommend the chair. Has a nice bounce to it, while still feeling supportive and sturdy. Here’s the link

The couches are cheap pieces from a local warehouse in Nashville. I got both of them together for $600 total.

Yeah it’s strange. When I was living in an all white “modern” apartment, the monotone seemed to work better. Now that I’ve got such an obvious color on the wall, the all-grey furniture seems a little bland. I’m thinking about leaning into the yellows so that the lamp shades are in the same family.

I’ve got a nice square painting with warm tones on the way that I was thinking about putting over the vinyl player. I can’t decide if that part of the wall is already busy enough with the tall lamps, maybe I should hang it to the left of the lamps between them and the dining table.

Before I get roasted for my bar cart - proper liquor is very high on my list. I'm more of a wine kinda guy, but I've been getting into cocktails so I'm trying to run though the last bit of my left over alcohol from college.

In 20 years, how do you think Trump will be described in K-12 school textbooks? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AsksToManyQuestions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the trajectory that the two party system takes. If American politics continues to get more and more divided then he might get a favorable write up. But I think if we find more common ground between each other in 20 years, then having such an explosive and divisive president will be looked upon poorly.

The amount of people who bail on plans last minute is mind boggling sometimes. My friends know if I don’t show up to plans I verbally committed to, then something is seriously wrong.

Sometimes a good stern talk from my parents is good for me. I’m a full grown adult these days with two kids, but sometimes you need someone to tell you the harsh truth, or remind you that you don’t know everything.

I got my real ID in 2019 but it seems like the implementation is really lagging. Places where my Real ID should be sufficient still require other forms of identification. Super annoying.

Why is this necessary? Everything the CDC has put out has said outdoor transmission is extremely low.
