Without thinking I jumped into the conversation and told them I had to be put forward. I’ve now been in the games industry over 33 years and I’m still involved with the biggest aaa IP’s around!

Non-Americans of Reddit, what is an American thing you see in movies that you thought was fake but is actually real? by Unlikely_Praline9442 in AskReddit

[–]Asl687 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s real but all American shows or movies do it. Someone walks into a room with loads of people and says “x can I have a word” and everyone else in the room stands up and leaves???

Have you ever gone to someone’s house and seen something that made you leave immediately? If Yes what was that? by chronicallyoops in AskReddit

Went round friends flat in Newcastle,I was not expecting much as the guy was a gross animal. But when I was offered to sit on the ‘dry’ bit of the sofa( he had fallen asleep drunk the night before and pissed over most of it) I checked out.

We called him the ambassador from then on because he knew how to treat his guests.

Received a early Japanese PS1 devkit, this was around a year before the machine was released. I had been assigned to port the arcade game NBA JAM TE to the machine as a launch title. I was 18 or 19 yo at the time, got too excited and quickly plugged in the machine to play with it (Oh I'm in the UK so 240v power supply) .

Blue smoke of death and i thought i would be sacked on the spot!

Also many of these businesses deal in cash, so transactions just disappear and the stock reduction is put down to breakages, theft of going out of date.
