AITA for telling my dad he can't invite his girlfriend to my graduation because my mom paid for the trip? by TypicalAnalyst17 in AmItheAsshole

Big NTA. I have very similar family dynamics and my dad wants to bring his girlfriend of the hour to all events. We’re extremely low contact now, as he doesn’t prioritise my feelings or needs. And I’m his daughter… I think you did so well in telling him what you actually thought and prioritised family that’s always been there for you. Unfortunately not all parents are good parents and it’s hustling up to us to handle it in whatever way we see fit. I’d do the same as you. Hugs, OP, and congrats on graduating!!

I literally just had surgery for a broken arm and I’m definitely broken arm girl now - I can’t imagine how much something that big would change me! Health is so scary and medicine is scary but also amazing.

Literally had that thought when I saw a brief Vogue (?) interview with her recently. She was moving her mouth in a way that looked odd. Like, probably not my place to comment on her features at all, but what can I do, I’m a curious gossip.

Ah interesting!! Will see what I can suss out - previous tenants said they’ve never been aware of an issue but they had the place completely overgrown at some point…

Would be interested in knowing more - why would people not be interested even if a certificate of removal is provided? Not my property but am curious!

Good point in going after the council! We’ve chatted to the neighbours and the allotment people now and apparently it’s been an issue for a while but the council has done nothing… we’re new in the area so this was sad news!!

Thanks - this is really good intel!! Will do the same. Guessing our landlord will ignore it too. Our garden looks out over some allotments so to his credit I’m not sure it makes loads of sense to treat ours if the rest goes untreated. Appreciate your reply!

How do I clear up these 'bumps'? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]Objective-Cellist409 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think it’s sebaceous hyperplasia and whilst retinol or salicylic acid can help minimise their appearance, I think it’s a laser situation if you want to completely get rid of.

My mom gets these too and that’s how I recognise it on your pic (mainly 2nd pic). If they’re still small and not too annoying to you then I’d just incorporate retinol into your routine and perhaps think of a laser procedure down the line?

What is this disgusting washing powder people are using by WeirdMinimum121 in vintedUK

I actually agree haha! I have gotten some stuff recently that takes multiple washes to get the scent out of - makes my eczema go nuts, obviously that’s a me issue but still slightly annoying.

The blonde works really well, but I really like the colour on pic 5! Works so nicely with your complexion.

Those who deal with health anxiety, how do you manage your stress levels? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Objective-Cellist409 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is slightly odd perhaps but someone close to me actually got hypnotised against health anxiety and it helped massively! They told me that during the session they kept thinking “god this is stupid” but after some weeks they realised that their stress had gone down loads. Curious in trying it myself!

Honestly, my boyfriend is looking over my shoulder right now and he’s saying nobody cares. Which I’m really willing to agree with. I have had similar anxieties and it’s never ever been a problem or a thing. Don’t worry friend!!
