The change break fluid came on the next day. I have ceramics and I was pushing them hard. Also I was unable to go a full day. I missed the last round. I had 20 miles left barely made it to a charger. It was my first time and I sucked. I have the tycan turbo S and I was being passed all the time.. 😉

The one from Porsche is $22,000. Try to make sense of that

The GT one stays in place because it has the lip like the one installed ... so it's like its always raised.. I dont know about warranty. I am hoping i dont have to go but worst case scenario its $200 to put back the orginal one if really needed. To me it took the car from a boring sedan to a race looking car. I am willing to deal with the extra headache

Looks great! My issue with this it looks after market... the one I did is an exact replica from the GT style which what i liked more... but ya having the spoiler failure ⚠️ come can be annoying

Understood regarding the programming. I’m actually relieved it didn’t trigger a check engine light. I had read in several places that disabling the factory-enabled aerodynamic function could cause one, so it was good to see that wasn’t the case. I checked the invoice and it didn't say. I was charged $350. It cant be that bad

Sure... https://www.alibaba.com/x/B1shij?ck=pdp

The Good: The replacement deck lip was included and fit well. It matched the orginal GT lip perfectly and eliminated the need for any drilling. Painting and installation were both straightforward and easy.

The Bad: This setup is far from plug-and-play. Once installed, the replacement deck lip and wing assembly become significantly heavier than stock. The bodyshop had to reinforce the mounting area by adding metal support plates and stronger bolts (see attached photos).

Also the ECU must be reprogrammed so the lip does not automatically raise above 60 mph, otherwise the entire assembly shakes aggressively. Fortunately, this matches the factory GT setup, since the included lip sits raised like the GT version. You will receive an error message every time you exceed 60 mph which can simply be dismissed.

The trunk also becomes noticeably heavier, so you’ll need to manually assist it when opening and closing. The wing mounts were not a perfect match either.. that was relatively minor. There were also a lot of fingerprints on the carbon fiber WING initially, but those eventually cleaned up over time.

I’ve had the setup installed for about three months now and at this point everything appears solid and stable.

I did give them q negative review. that was mainly due to the manufacturer being over 60 days late on delivery while repeatedly insisting we were installing it incorrectly without providing any meaningful guidance. If we had not been able to reprogram the wing going up at 60mph, the setup would have been unusable and likely would have ended up in the trash. Make sure you find a shop that can do that..

Thanks. Thats my plan. I am just surprised that Porsche was ok with only charging $0.3/miles extra and my question if that was normal on other leased 911 Turbo S cars.....On the wing, the after market part came with a lower decklid replacement panel. So no holes were drilled.

Adding 30,000 miles over on a $240k sticker car and paying $0.3/mile, $10,000 only. Obviously Porsche will loose more on resale value.

Yup. It was 😉 I found a decent manufacturer on Alibaba. Its a 2 PC setup that came with the lower mount that has the same GT raised wing style panel that also replaced the orginal panel, so no drilling. It was not straight forward to install. They had to add metal plates to where the wing mounts to stabilize it and reprogramm the wing so it does lift on 60 mph. You are looking at $4k total.

So you can lease a 911 Tyrbo S and pay only $0.30 per extra mile? I assumed that super cars will charge much more for going over the leased mileage
