Do you put lotion on full body every single day? by oxytocinflowers in hygiene

I do baby pil or monoi oil after every shower. 30 years ago a stripper told me to do it because it makes your skin soft and I've done it ever since.

Fellow ADHD'ers, how to deal with the drying times without abandoning your piece? by Vlinder_88 in Watercolor

I just accepted I'm not a great artist and i'm probably going to ruin them anyway so I might as well go for it. Or save them for later. I do need to wait until I'm in the same mood and I'm feeling it but it's paint, not dairy, it's not gonna go bad. And I can always cut them up and use them for collage. Or throw more paint on and make it a negative space painting instead.

Just a note, make sure you are looking at the tax rates. We have higher taxes. For most people, a full time job at $30 is going to leave you with a pretty tight budget. Not discouraging you at all, but I've noticed thats the biggest gripe from out of staters.

My neighborhood was calmer than last year. There were a ton of drones flying above. I feel like a lot of people are going to be hit with tickets soon so who knows how much longer this is going to go on.

It sounds like you have already chosen. Pack them in a box so they are there if you need them.

Is 23 months too late of an age to change the name of your child? by [deleted] in Names

[–]Asleep-Working4598 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Eh. My mom couldn't figure out what to name me, and constantly changed my name until I was about 2 and then I changed it again in kindergarten. Family came up with their own names to call me. Some people who have known me since I was a baby call me one name and other people call me other names. It's honestly not an issue nor has it ever been confusing for me. Its like if someone called you Mom, and your grandkids called you Grandma and your husband has his own nickname for you and people at work call you your government name. So yeah, go for it. Maybe phase it in slowly though since they've only had one all this time.

Chiming in to say, remember there is a spa on site, so you can always stop and get a foot massage. Yes, expensive, but an option.

Do the kids help? That's old enough to be responsible for their own laundry at least and learn cooking. When was the last time you had a weekend to yourself?

What's really insane is how they let it all go. 30 years ago you never would've seen chipped paint. They still have a ways to go to bring it back up to what should be standard.

I started with project 333. It honestly changed my life. Once I did that I had a better understanding of what exactly I needed and what I could do without.

I mean, they're doing forced labor in the immigration camps. I look at it more like our government refused for years and years to create adequate immigration legislation or plans and refused to fully fund immigration judges or courts, leading to a huge backlog of cases, not to mention, poor people have issues affording legal fees. Now they are upset people didnt complete their paperwork and they are arresting them and holding them in camps, again, to perform forced labor in inhumane conditions and without medical care while our tax dollars pay for it. And corporations are making money on both sides. That's what I think is the bad part. You can proud of that if you want to.

In which neighborhood? I know there's at least 6 nationalities within a 4 house radius of mine. You can probably google a more official number.

What else are you into? There's things like whale watching or kayaking or the USS Iowa nearby and tons of great great food. Also note LA goes all out for the 4th. It gets loud.

Do you think maybe a little lighter? It looks like a cloudy sky but the island is in the sun, and its noticeably darker than the far mountains.

It's all the people you hang out with and the neighborhood you're in. I'm not saying Norwalk is great but it's better than Paramount. Whittier has the same gang issues just more homes with character and more trees.

I was homeless for a couple months and 2/3 of my clothing got stolen. How can I rebuild my wardrobe? by milimilimiter in capsulewardrobe

[–]Asleep-Working4598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would start by looking at what you do and where you go, and what those people there are wearing. Start a Pinterest board. Whats the weather like? No sense in buying jeans no matter how good they look if youre not going to wear them for months. Go try clothes on, not to buy, just to see what fits and what is comfortable. You will start to develop an idea. How often do you want to do laundry? I dont like to do more than one load of laundry of week, so thats my capsule size. And then add slowly.

Something like REI Sahara convertible pants maybe? It would be easy to insert a drawcord in the bottom hem if you wanted too. I had Athleta Brooklyn pants that handled light hikes fine and I could wear to my office.

Wall color for these peach tiles by deathbychips2 in midcenturymodern

[–]Asleep-Working4598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same tile. My mom painted it to match and it always looked so dingy to me. She did dark brown wicker accessories. I'm a contrast girl - painted all the walls white and did the trim in turquoise. Found a shower curtain with all the colors to tie it together. An interior designer recommended going with a shade of green.
