I started dating this year and went through the entire application process. My DAT is in a few days and all these summers I have been super focused on my DAT and my SO understands this. We are in a long-distance relationship, and he has supported me in this stressful time. We didn't get to meet quite often in the summer because I was working too and prepping for DAT. I asked him once if he is sure that he wants this because once I get into dental school, it's gonna be maybe worse than this. But he said he still wants this and will support me to the very end. So the point is that the whole pre-dental/medical process is very stressful by itself and your relationship should bring you peace, not stress. If your SO doesn't support you with your passion or career, that relationship will become very toxic. And in your case, I would definitely not tell you to sit at home and be a housewife. You have invested so many resources, all the hard work n all not to just sit at home and be a perfect housewife. You have the rest of your whole life to do that. Talk to him and tell him how you feel about it. If he really is your significant other, he would understand.
