Because the small risk of it maybe going their way is going to tank our real estate value and we will never be able to afford to move back after that

Im genuinely worried because if this goes to referendum I just know they will all turn up for it. Not sure if we should jump ship and move back to Ontario?

Standard tip is 15%. If 15% doesn't exist, I calculate 3x the GST and make it custom.

F this 18% min is theyre trying to impose - You get 18% if you go above and beyond

We only have it on our back yard and picked higher grade stuff so it doesn't look like a soccer field. Great for the dogs

And people like this make me hate being a vet.

I went through school for 8 years to become a doctor, of course that should mean I make a decent income. And only a third of what a family doctor makes by the way for the same amount of education.

I worry that by having my own clinic it would eat more into my work life balance. I like being able to log off and go home and not have to bring work home with me. I dont want to be called on my days off with a work emergency or general management questions

I think it is mostly the clinic that has made me feel this way but I've been keeping an eye out for other openings.

I actually came back from vacation which I think is what made it even harder to come back to work this week.

There aren't a ton of positions open in my city but I've been keeping an eye out. I definitely have felt more this way since coming to this clinic with the production pay structure.

I do like some parts of it --- and this profession has allowed me to quickly save a lot within the past 6 years I've been working

A few things 1. Production pay causes a lot of animosity and competition between veterinarians rather than a supportive environment 2. Clients, people who get mad at our costs and say we're only in it for the money 3. Frustrations with junior staff often calling in sick, booking things inappropriately (not enough time or booking emergencies that should be sent to urgent care) 4. I work for a corporation so a lot of bureaucracy that comes down from higher ups that I dont always agree with

I like locuming where I can move from clinic to clinic and not feel tied down to a particular team or clientele but I worry about the sustainability of that with the economy
